SoT has awful and extremely repetitive combat where you spam the same two combos over and over and watch prince execute every single enemy with the dagger, also worst camera angles by bar, very few free cam sections, which feels awful in a platformer
WW reminded me of souls-likes, grim setting, non-linear with a fair amount of exploration and backtracking, deepest combat in the series by far, the combo list rivals many fighting games, NO FUCKING DAGGER, you get a permanent unbreakable sword + a free hand for breakable pickups, overall enjoyed it the most in the series, some camera angles were still pretty horrible though
TT felt like a crowd pleaser, it basically did its best to mash the wildly different SoT and WW together, and the result... is underwhelming. No sword, the only permanent weapon is the fucking dagger, and a lot of combat mechanics are scaled down from WW. Instead you get... stealth kills... with QTE prompts. Which are also in every boss fight. Quickly input this Simon Says button sequence or the boss regens HP. Such fun. Also, the game is entirely linear with no fun side paths or side areas. And the setting is overall boring, it looks like a Middle East war game, just brightly lit yellow/brown areas, where SoT and WW had their distinct styles. But on the upside, the camera is a lot more modern, it's a free camera most of the time.
