I actually remember watching the Schmitts Gay skit when it aired on SNL back in 1991. 1991 had one of the best casts in SNL history.

>Schmitts Gay

I just realized that this SNL uploaded video doesn't even use the proper original music track that aired in 1991. The original video used Van Halens 'Beautiful Girls'. But I guess it was replaced with some sort of GE Smith stand in track.

It must be embarassing to see how you fumbled the actual reference. I bet you didn't know Oingo Boingo was lead by Danny Elfman either

Ironic to say that online almost, considering everyone orbiting around television was what did a lot to contribute to having a monoculture, with everything splitting up into an array with the arrival and dispersal of the internet. Video games themselves might have even played a part in that with the added variation on the media people were exposed to.

Wrong. Donald K. Kong was a Nintendo lawyer that got them out of a lawsuit over the right to Godzilla so they named the character after him.

This and the original cast were best
And before any Zoomers accuse me of
>my teenage years were mysteriously the peak of culture
that time period consist of Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz fucking up every skit they were in with their Japanese schoolgirl giggling in the background, I donโ€™t know how those hacks survived more than one season, the fat Mexican must have been blowing Lorne Michaels
Iโ€™ve seen some skits from recent casts that werenโ€™t bad, to be fair, so maybe it's gotten better
