Hard to say. Kind of feels more precise, but it might be placebo.
Sometimes it's just plain fun to play stuff with a stick, regardless.
I think a lot of "serious" players actually champion keyboard, although that might just be a Touhou thing.

The stick side is a pretty bad input device in terms of speed and precision
jap arcade buttons are the best though
