If Super Mario World is Super Mario Bros. 4, and Yoshi's Island is Super Mario Bros. 5 (according to this beta title screen), what's Super Mario Bros. 6? Is it Yoshi's Island DS or New Super Mario Bros.?

It's not Yoshi's Island DS because by that point Yoshi had pretty much spun off into his own franchise. NSMB is the next "mainline" 2D mario game, so yeah I guess.

Yoshi's Island is not a real SMB game. You only play as 1 bro. Yeah, Luigi is in the game as a cutscene, but there's no 2-player. Same with SM64.

super mario land is mario 4 (in japan anyway, in the us it's mario 3 whereas mario 3 is mario 4), super mario world is mario 5, super mario land 2 six golden coins is fittingly mario 6

There is no Super Mario Bros. 6 and there will never be a 5th or 6th game. NSMB is its own series which might as well be dead (either a new series or a one-off like Wonder will be next for 2D Mario) and Yoshi has never had a good game after 1995.
