Is Luigi's Mansion PAL optimizes? I heard that it has a better hidden mansion than NTSC version. I don't really care about 30 fps, because I'm going to play it on a 50hz and to be honest I don't know how to patch it with the 60 hz hack and then trim the ISO to a smaller size. But the think is, I'm really annonyed when games don't play at a proper speed. Why is there no internet database about PAL optimized or unoptimized video games?

>Poses question that is easily Googled
>Too dumb to patch an ISO
>Complains that other people have not done work for free to create a database for him
Typical Euro. Just take, take, take and offers absolutely nothing in return.

The thing is, this question isn't easily googled.

This. Japanese and Americans make almost everything and all these people do is say "MORE, MORE, MORE! GIMME!"
Notice how they have entire countries known for one fucking thing, like bread or chocolate, and many countries known for NOTHING. Japan and America do all that shit 1000 times ever, and I am not even exaggerating. The output and diversity of products is literally over a thousand time larger. The most acclaimed people from there now are mostly people who kick a ball ten feet over a gigantic goal you could park a plane inside, then fall on grass and fake an injury.

I googled the question myself to see and got a detailed report on everything about the PAL version and changes to the game.

2000s games not supporting PAL60 is like the dumbest thing ever, did they assume most people in PAL regions were still using TVs from the 80s or some shit?

Dreamcast games had pretty outstanding PAL60 support and so did 1st party GameCube games. Xbox was somewhat hit or miss and there are cases like Halo 1 where the PAL60 is famously broken and still runs at 25fps with noticeable hitching. PS2 is just abysmal and early titles like DMC1 and FFX ran with a slower game speed.

Being a PAL cuck really was pain in retrospect, but most of us didn't know about that kind of thing to begin with. All that stupid bullshit being wiped clean is one of the few blessings of the HD era.

Thank fuck we didn't because I remember booting up Tekken 2 PAL and the entire game felt like it's underwater

What? FFX ran at a slower speed? How is this the first time I'm hearing about that? Wouldn't that be a massive trivia bit? All I ever hear about PAL FFX is that it was better than NTSC because it was the International version with more stuff

PAL60 isn't a real standard, and the shit Nintendo consoles output was even less so. 99% of PAL TVs of the era didn't support PAL60 from any console via the composite input, which is why the only PAL60-exclusive games back then, Metroid Prime 2 and Geist, both had a big red 60HZ ONLY warning label on them and PS2 games with optional 60hz modes had their test screens.
Realistically you needed an RGB cable to play 60hz games on a PAL TV, and few consumers ever bought one with the exception of pirates among whom RGB cables were super popular.

It's a good solid game. Charming, polished, a bit simple and linear, a bit childish. It's fine. You'll have to decide yourself whether it's worth your time.

So, what's the answer? Does PAL version of Luigi's mansion run at proper speed without slowdown?

There's a big list of PAL60 GameCube games: https://www.consolemods.org/wiki/GameCube:Games_with_Alternate_Display_Modes
Luigi's Mansion has no PAL60 mode but this can be easily forced in Dolphin/Nintendont. Dunno about Swiss though as I've never used it.
