If you have friends, this game is exceptionally fun. I'm surprised to see so little discussion about it in retro communities t.b.h.
The only GC game that holds a candle against it (multiplayer wise) is SSBM but it mogs everything else.
>>11888864 (OP)Double Dash is the best GCN party game
>>11888864 (OP)I don't have friends, so to me, this is just a shitty port of a GBA game.
>>11888864 (OP)It's exceptionally fun regardless of one's likability if you ask me. I presume it's not discussed because it's basically a GBA port. That and there's only ~1.5 "retro" Warioware games that can be discussed here anyway. Shame because Touched! is great
I always kind of forget this one exists, in between the GBA one, and the Wii one.
>>11888882Double Dash sucks and it's also the worst Mario Kart entry in the series.
Also, why bother with DD when F-Zero GX exists? That game is objectively better in every single way.
>>11888902>I always kind of forget this one exists, in between the GBA one, and the Wii one.Warioware Touched also came out after the GC port and before the Wii one, you're forgetting a little more than that.

01/0 bait, no (You) for you
>>11888892>because it's basically a GBA portIt has unique multiplayer content which many people have never seen since they don't have gamer friends.
>>11888912there's also Twisted, right? They hammered the fuck out of that series for a few years
>>11888864 (OP)I remember this game having way less content than the GBA game it got its microgames from instead of being a port with added multiplayer modes. I had some fun with it on a rental with a friend but it seemed like a dumb thing to buy. Practically a demo. Gamecube was not short on good multiplayer games.
Less content AND it's effectively the same microgames as GBA. I know the janky and vaguely retro graphics are part of the point, but it's a really hard sell knowing it's just the same visuals as the GBA game for more money.
>>11888864 (OP)I've played this with other people on several occasions and it was a good time every time
>>11888864 (OP)>having people at your house in 2025>in adulthood>who play video games>who don't dismiss retro games on sighti mean it happens, but it's exceedingly rare nowadays.
for the record me and my siblings played the shit out of mega party games.
