I have four of these daisy chained, probably not the best but works fairly well.

I always thought about doing this but didn't have enough component gear to bother. Good "hack" so to speak.

I use the Micomsoft "Selecty21." It was a companion piece to the Framemeister but few bought it because the Selecty21 does JP21, not SCART. I also have one of those "Bandridge" SCART switchers like someone posted above, which I'll put to use one day when I replace the Framemeister.

The gScartSW JP21 edition has served me well. Unfortunately, since few even use JP21, SuperG discontinued it immediately. I regret to this day not asking for more than 1 since SuperG specified the demand to be high for a single person operation, so I thought to give room for others to get them. Sadly the JP21 edition did not get all the newer features like sync regeneration. I lacked the foresight in the early 90s to know Euro Scart would become the standard and stuck with JP21, so my switcher options are limited.

I do:

(example system)
SNES RGB OVER VGA -> Extron MVX 8x4 VGA switcher -> GBS-C upscaler - > Monitor

but for some reason extron MVX vga switchers have doubled/tripled in price so dont recommend.
Maybe a youtuber made a video about a similar setup.

Theyโ€™re hard to come by, I had to buy this from a friend and it still cost me $100. Retail they supposedly go for more than $200-$300 but I have never actually seen one for sale. Thereโ€™s โ€œgscartswโ€ but those also donโ€™t exist anywhere. Your best bet is Aliexpress

I replaced my gscartsw and cheapo component switchers I'd been using for a number of years with an SVS setup. So far I have 15 inputs of mixed scart, ypbpr, and vga, with 2 vga outputs. Definitely ended up being pretty expensive but I doubt I'll need to buy another analog switcher ever again and if I decide I need to add things I can always just buy more modules. The auto profile switching thing on the rt4k is pretty sweet too.
