Anyone plays this game? Pretty much the only game I play anymore on and off. Like do a campaign and forget about it for a year. Unfortunately the mechanics to save a city gets boring after some time as well as collecting/duplicating all the uniques sucks much of the fun from the game, but with the new cards added it can last for a while.

tbf not even sure, I downloaded years ago from some random site, perhaps this is the same https://github.com/ShandalarMagic/Shandalar
just a card pack and some small QoL improvements e.g. no mana burn

He's referring to Magic The Gathering by MicroProse from 1997.
Fans often call it Shandalar to make it distinct from the other games and I think some fan patched versions are called stuff like "Shandalar 2012".
And you need some heavily modded version to even get it to run on XP or newer.

Which is obviously a modded version.
Try installing it from the original CD or image.
