Bioshock was one of the biggest letdowns of my life. SS1 was glorious, and remains a true classic. SS2 was great; not the same, not as good, but certainly not stagnant. The first Bioshock has one of the most amazing settings ever conceived for a video game. It's still amazing now, i love it. Then the game turned out to be a railshooter. No hacking, no choices, no exploration, no creativity in weapon design or combat. I mean sure, infants like pablum, but those of us hoping that - what was it - fifteen years of development would see improvements, were rather let down. The second game is worse. And Bioshock infinite was just a showpiece for the single point of irony someone thought was clever (let's make an alternate universe/branching path/infinite possibilities storyline that's actually linear and doesn't allow any deviation at all! Mind. Blown!).
If you want the spiritual successor to the first games, try Prey. An anon on here recommended it to me, and it's awesome.

>>11894107>Also the plumbing minigame was alrightFixed that for you. I preferred logic puzzles, but you obviously focus more on time spent in bathrooms. Not judging, the game had a lot of them.
