Everything beyond that becomes pretty homogenous and equally terrible.

Eh… there's a lot of shovelware for it, but the number of good games might be higher than SNES. I'd really have to do a side-by-side analysis to be certain. That said, I never really liked LttP that much and haven't beaten it in over 20 years now. I just lose interest in it so quickly. Super Metroid is the best SNES game but by no means the only good one.

Even games I don't personally like aren't necessarily bad. LttP isn't bad even if it bores me to tears. I just don't like loreshit and it was the first Zelda with unskippable loredumps. ALTTP isn't that good of a Zelda game, or that good of a SNES game. I don't know why some people can't get over it.
Shadow Run is way cooler if you want some kind of top-down adventure thing.
Pocky and Rocky is way better if you want a top down action game.
Square games have better stories and presentation, if you just like fantasy RPGs.
Legend is cooler if you just want to hit shit with a sword.

We only disagree with Russians because some retard Soviet stole the first book, published it in Kommunistski without permission then "continued" the series but doing away with all the magic and adding giant robot battles, completely changing the feel. They did the same thing with Harry Potter but those books are actually pretty neat, I think. I like Sorokin's books. Atomic Heart was a great game although not retro. Russian post punk music is awesome. Maybe try taking a look inside modern Russian culture instead of crying about a certain unimportant country getting wiped out because of their downright fascist politics?
