I've just finished playing Maoi Kun (JP) for the NES and it really hit the sweet spot of great music and puzzle fun.
Can anyone recommend any other retro puzzle games of the same style for any retro console or region.

thanks anon, I had been wanting to play this but forgot the name.

I guess Lost Vikings is similar, but it's a bit more action focused. Catrap for gameboy is fun but is pure puzzle.
