How frustrating is it to know there's no real remake in sight but it's them just importing the assets and old voice lines to unreal 5 editor and publishing it once again. I hate how this could be even more cool game if there was a team who re-imagined most of the flow and mechanics.
I have yet to see nothing more than them adding a quick change camo system and that's all the improvements. Like what the fuck. There could be like ten different difficulty settings or something where some of them are casual but some of them are hardcore and require inventory management and everything happens in real time instead of pausing under water, during a boss fight or in alert phase.
Note that even the original ps2 version doesn't have any fatal flaws which take the joy out of the game or anything, except the fixed camera but they immediately added the free cam to Snake Eater 1.1 and further versions. Only some minor silliness where your camo stuff doesn't make sense or you have to change after moving two meters forward.
