>That time Namco released a Gamecube game that was under 500KB because it was just an emulated NES game on a disk

And by under 500KB I don't mean just the ROM and emulator, I mean the entirety of the disk. The ROM, emulator, gamecube libraries, banner graphics, save icon, everything. It still all together ended up being under 500KB. The entire trimmed disk image could fit on a floppy disk twice over with room to spare.

Course, GameCube disks were all padded to 1.4GB so literally 99.97% of the disk was padding, unless you trimmed the iso.

It was a pre-order gift for another game, which we of course didn't get outside of Japan. But I am sure the disks likely go for way too much these days.

All the best games are under 50 mb so 500kb must be a pretty good game

Technically, the NES game itself is 40KB, the rest are just additional files for the emulator and other GC libraries.

Impressive. Modern developers would find a way to make it 30 GB somehow.

1. Not outraged, just talking about it

2. Didn't see this on YouTube, or anywhere else. Just because you are incapable of noticing things like this on your own without someone else pointing it out for you does not mean others need YouTube to notice something like this.

The point of the game is just tedious trial and error. You were supposes to talk to other players to get tips and strats. I actually really like the game, but its kind of bullshit that you have to find the secret on level two to increase your movement speed or just be nerfed for the rest of the game.
Namco did a similar thing with mappy. First level starts you can run left or right. If you run left you die every time. And they wonder why it wasn’t as successful as pac man lol.

And what other option was there to play Druaga on your gamecube at the time this released, retardo? Companies manufactured internet trial discs that were a million times more worthless than a game you could play. This wasn't even sold as a full price release, it was a bonus for getting Tales of Symphonia.

These are not expensive at all. The one that is pricey, is the similar disc that just has Famicom Metal Gear on it which was only bundled with the Twin Snakes edition GameCube.

I’m talking about the modern era when this game can be a simple download instead of producing more e-waste. And this goes for every game.

These games haven't been in production for multiple decades now. No more "e-waste" is being "produced."
