Like if it wasn't just boss fights and more platforming I would have liked it better
>>11917226Just play Metal Slug, Contra and Gunstar Heroes if you want that shit.
Alien Soldier stands out because it fixates on bosses so much.
>>11917226> if it wasn't just boss fightsTreasure made a game just for you then, it's called Gunstar Heroes. Fighting bosses one after another is the bread and butter of Alien Soldier.
>>11917219 (OP)Same here. I will give it another shot some day.
>>11917219 (OP)I'm unironically too retarded to bother to learn the controls
>>11917219 (OP)Was it the fish?
Open with point-blank flame to the face, then phoenix into it while it jumps down. It will be left with like 400 health.
>>11917219 (OP)Controls are utter dogshit, even with 6 button hack
The controls should never be the main challenge in an Acton game
>>11917403More like can't be assed to do so. It's vying for my attention with other games so I'll just play other games that don't give me resistance at the start with the control scheme itself.
>>11917468They didn’t finish the game, so it evens out
>Also, on January 3rd, the very day the final version was due, while NAMI was sleeping I went in and secretly altered the damage parameters of the weapons… shh, don’t tell anyone.
You didn’t make the game
I got as far as this boss, beat it, saw the Earth explode, decided I had played enough.
He was a very satisfying boss, but I recall absolutely hating this one that was an eye in a narrow tunnel, and this sunflower-looking guy.
The game is a lot of fun when you've got a good flow going, but when you're up against a boss and your weapons either don't work or are entirely out of ammo, it's miserable.
>>11917525>and your weapons either don't workYou only need two choices throughout the game.
the wall on my first playthrough was destroyer mk 2 because I hadn't used counter force once up to that point
