I recall hearing NFL '97 development being somewhat of a shitshow.
Also, apparently the game was later sold to Interplay and released on PlayStation as Jimmy Johnson's VR Football '98.

I've been having a blast with Winning Eleven 2002 mods/patches, crazy how current competitions, teams, squads and kits are being made by fans, in pretty high quality aswell, and often for free, even today! It's been nice and plays better than eFootball and EA FC for me, also one of the few titles that's perfect for both simulation and arcade fans, just switch the speed up or down.
