Commodore Thread.
what are their biggest contributions to gaming for you ?
they aren't as cool as Atari, but the C64 was massive.
but when I say Commodore, what actual games come into your head?
Anonymous No.11932513 [Report]
for me : International Soccer
just because it was the only Commodore cartridge I ever owned so every time I see the logo I think of the game

The Great Giana Sisters
Lazy Jones
Mr Angry / Stringer
Boulder Dash

I hated Times of Lore because I had the Apple ][ version of it which was legitimately ugly and slow. It was best on the C64, totally seamless world, beautiful graphics, and the environmental SID chip sounds were amazing. I never understood why people liked Legend of Zelda so much when Times of Lore was superior in every single way.

> b..but they only published like 5 and shieett
> b..but they got out of the publishing game so i guess that means they made 0 games and my schizo fantasy is complete
cringed so hard that it rippled backward through time and my ancestors felt it.

Commodore was a pretty cool guy, and they/them had many games. But when you tap Commodore, the actual games that cum into my head are all about how I can rage against burgers. I base my euorojank identity on my imagined generational poverty of having their shit years, later. It causes me this feeling, I don't know how you say in American, but when the part of your body you poop though is very painful. So no. I do not like these things.

Anon, publishers back then pretty much just handled the manufacturing, distribution, and negotiations with retailers to get shelf space. You're either retarded or trolling, in either case, fuck off.

My grandparents had a C64, and me and my brother would be glued to the thing every time we visited. We used to play G.I. Joe, Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, Crossroads, Below the Root, The 7 Cities of Gold, Dynamite Dan, Carmen Sandiego, Load Runner, Miniputt, and a ton of others. I had a great uncle who was a gearhead, and he copied hundreds of games onto floppies for us. Good times.

anon was right. commodore did make games. makes no difference it they were a publisher of other people's shit. commodore claimed copyright over it. it's theirs. i can't imagine needing to lie and have a mental breakdown over something so trivial. maybe try joining lemon64, there you will fit in with the rest of the losers of the internet that make up history to conform with their extreme mental illness.

ironic, that's what you seem to think with your mass replying. oh sorry, you're pretending to be someone else so that means you are someone else, clearly. even if you're still doing the weird space with your greentexts.

Most software in that era was ported across all the popular systems so I think of Beyond, Gremlin Graphics, Ultimate. Imagine, Ocena of course and early EA.

Eye of teh Beholder is probably one, then Prince of Persia, if I had to settle on one it would be Prince of Persia.

extreme mental illness. looking forward to the next thread you'll have permanently open so we can call you out for being a single digit iq liar in that one as well. but i am most certain you've been called a liar here many times before.

it's always great seeing this board failing this hard, not only at playing "spot the anon", but can't even lie straight in bed. the best part is always the mental breakdown when your delusional lies are exposed as a joke. i'm not the only one sick of you lying frauds on this board. the other anon is not me. everyone is sick of your mentally ill lying.

the c64 gens, the young game developers and the kids who grew up with them, created most of the innovation in the gaming industry but now they are getting too old and past it, so gaming has died. The c64 had a massive variety of games and piracy so everyone involved explored a total shit tonne of games and watch cheeky commodore gamer on youtube to get more insight, plus keep in mind Sid Meir, the minecraft guy, the linux guy, the starcontrol/urquan guys (archon), assange, were all shaped by the c64 experience.

Commodore was pretty gay with that artsy palette and fancy sound chip and gimpy 1mhz cpu. Everyone i knew had spectrum or nes and you would probably get your ass beaten would you get c64.

Populous and Lemmings for the companies they created. Would they have become mainstream without the Amiga, maybe not.
