Fun but very tough game. I like how high risk gameplay (using the knife instead of the machine gun) rewards you with items and extra score combos. Still haven't gotten past the third stage despite having infinite continues, the true mark of a hard game.

Are you playing it on normal or hardest difficulty? Playing it on the hardest difficulty enemies will spray bullets everywhere and the bow boss fights give hardly any time between their next volley. I like how the machine gun begins to waver when you stand still. Allows you to get some bullets in the hallways more easily or across a corner.

If you 1cc it you get an alternate ending. Only in the Japanese version though since they knew western insects can’t into skill.

its the right type of brutally difficult game, where its short

get good enough with the knife and you can farm extra lives
