I think you do damage then you have to do moon jumps at the top of the screen for 20 seconds while he invincibly zips across the middle of the arena before you're allowed to damage him again, is that right?

Their power might come from Satan,they might have been invented by Satan, etc but they're not demons aka fallen angels, disembodied souls of Nephilim who serve Satan, etc etc. Demons are far more powerful than vampires because they're spirits, the only limitation of a demon if any is chosen is that they can't interact with the physical world without possessing a human

It's so weird seeing people from /vr/ complaining that this game was hard in recent months. It was the easiest and best Castlevania to me when I was younger, and I remember all the bosses being piss easy, including Dracula. I don't think I had to try most bosses more than once.

Shut up faggot. That's a myth created by Hollywood. In the original Dracula, Dracula was absolutely allowed to go out in daylight. He just didn't have supernatural powers during daylight hours, but he could and did still walk around during the day.

I had the same confusion with Dalkstalkers, Demitri and Morrigan are vampires but they have wings on their backs like demons
In my mind wings work like this:
- wings on back = demon
- turning into bat/werebat and your arms turn into wings = vampire

It's not that it's hard. It's that it's easy but the bosses take too long. There are no stakes (heh) when the boss can barely hurt you, you've got pretty much infinite healing and all you're doing is chipping away at it for an absurdly low amount of HP per hit. It's like filling an Olympic pool one cupful of sinkwater at a time. It's tedious.
The problem with the game is that it's the digital representation of tedium.

It's somewhat slow, so it's not perfect, but it's good for a boss, especially a final one, to elicit such a reaction. There's too many bosses that let players get away with bad playing, and while limiting exploits to tedious play isn't the best solution, it's still a good way to make players either choose to take on the boss with more limitations, or stay unsatisfied in their beginner ways. There are bosses that can be exciting to fight even if easy to beat casually, but that requires them to be able to frustrate players in the first place. Dracula X's bosses are a good example, save for its Dracula fight.
