That's because you are a girl, if you had a guy you'd have more direction to set your ears and tail straight.

Just keep playing games until you find one that gets you hooked, picrel.

I was playing tons of games I downloaded to emulate on duckstation and yes I would play them for some minutes then move on to the next but when I got to Evil Zone and not only I had fun with the gameplay but when I saw the character's stories, I was like. Yep I'm playing this for the next days straight.

90% of games, if were being generous, are shit. and emulation makes it so that you dont have to be picky about whats in your library.

most games I boot up I play for 30 minutes and never touch again, but every now and then I find a gem thatll stick with me forever so its all worth it.

The reason why played that videogame for so many hours is because of the female fanservice character, and i loved it.

i've done this more than a couple times. however my bigger problem is
>start new game
>enjoy it
>get 50-90% of the way through it
>stop playing it
i've done this with 10-20 games across the SNES/genesis so far this year.

You gotta commit to it. Get rid of the romsets or at least put them in an inconvenient place and just have the game files for one or two games.

start thinking about the games you play, draw maps for them, draw fanart of the ocs pregnant, just do anything beyond treating the game as a chore.
if you find that there is truly nothing to even care about in the game, then just drop it and move on without ragret.

This. I thought I was becoming some annoying gay jaded gamer because I kept dropping things fast but then I figured out I just like more specific things now and I'll happily play them for hours once I find them.

I do this so much its depressing. theres also an alarming amount of games where I will literally get to the final save point before the boss, and then just drop it and never finish it. I have no idea why Im like this.

basically for me to actually fucking finish a game it has to be a 10/10 and one of my favorite games ever. I recently found a game like that when I played TTYD recently, or OOT before that. then I tried a bunch of other zeldas and mario rpgs and yep.. not finishing any of them.

Hello mods. I man reporting my own post so that you have to read this. This is an extremely low effort troll thread with an off topic image. You should be deleting the thread and banning OP. Ok.

This is actually part of the reason I buy them at retro stores. Once you have that game and throw it in you're basically committed to playing it. I'm way more lazy about switching games once something good is already locked and loaded. There's something about emulation where I don't care as much and I'm not committed. It feel like there's a lot of effort to choose to continue something that you're not currently having fun at. Even if the game overall is good or enjoyable one lame level or section could stop you from even booting it.

I find that after playing the peak (for me) of certain genres it's hard to have fun with other games of that genre
In platformers for example I already love SMW and DKC, so it's simply not fun to play some random shovelware scotformer #34 unless it turns out to be a hidden gem
I'd rather just keep playing SMW and DKC once in a while forever

Pretty much this. Fun games are fun and will remain fun forever. I'll never stop playing Doom and Duke 3D, I'll never stop playing Army Men and Ape Escape, and I'll never stop playing yo mama like a fiddle unc lmao :skull:
