Nope, Itagaki was referring it to the PS2 japanese-only first release of DOA2, which is not used for the comparison here.
This is why all of the later releases on PS2 had the "Hardcore" moniker to signify the upgrades, since the og version outside of visual and loading issues had also less content than the DC versions (since the DC EU and JP releases were released after that JP PS2 version).

AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable 2 Plus. Not a great capture card, but this website requires you to compress the shit out of videos anyway. It only does 1080p at an acceptable quality, record anything below that and it looks horrendous. I use a Retrotink 5X to get 1080p.
