So I decided to play VC2 after having put it off for a long while. Not a fan of it being in a school setting but whatever. Anyways I'm still pretty damn early (februrary) in the game and I unlocked a handful of my squadies missions and they give an absurd amount of money and XP when you clear them. Marion's mission is so easy to wrap up in 1 turn, barely a few minutes. This can't be intentional right? Did I do something wrong and break the games balance? I have more money than I can even spend right now.

The game was designed for portable gaming. Meaning missions would generally be pretty short. This was very common to do during that time.
The game does get a bit more challenging later, assuming you don't find all the broken stuff.

VC2 is very generous with money and XP because the resources you get from completing missions are much more important.
This game is about grinding out the correct amount and type of resources to get higher tier classes for your units, simply leveling up won't do much good in the long run because class changing gives a significant stat boost.

Sell me on this series.

As i mentioned iirc only the first game has fags/trannies you can't kill off via permadeath in a mission, on another note there's a ton of based characters as well so whatever.
Story is just your typical anime bullshit with a WW2 spin on it.
My recommendation is try playing 4 for a bit n see if you cringe to death or not and if not move on to 3 and marry the jew waifu.
