My guess is they are making sure it's perfect. I would like an update as well because I love that fucking game. It's the only good Diablo II spiritual successor. I'm looking forward to Titan Quest 2 as well because if they keep it like the first game but have it up-to-date with quality of life (please lord don't let them drop the fucking ball on it) it will be as good as Grim Dawn, and probably force Grim Dawn to make a second title, assuming they aren't already.

Asterkarn looks promising. I love the 2-class system. Any other ARPGs that do that?

Not the first time they hold something back a bit to work on it a bit more. They earned at least a bit of trust from me, so I'm sure it'll be out sooner rather than later unless something happens.
Can't wait though, could really use some more content. Might dust off my old Purifier (Demolitionist/Inquisitor), bathing the whole map in flame was entirely too much fun.

They have a game in ea and want to leave grim dawn. I like that they refuse to grow fast. Next game they will put in ea is a rts, having high expectations. Honestly, the only game I'm looking forward to, besides lotf2.

Very unlikely a good game, mid at best.

If you haven't played it before I've found the first guild wars game plays like a party based ARPG and has a 2-class system, though it is dated I still have fun with it.

Crate has been providing regular Grim Dawn updates on their website since at least ~2014 when I first began playing the game. They have already been working on an inhouse engine for Grim Dawn 2, among other stuff.
>>3774083
They have people working on a new engine; GD updates; their RTS, Furthest Frontier; and at least three making a survival horror game.

It's not that rts. The rts in question is happening before the grim dawn event, which I like as a setting.

It should've been released already (spring 2025) but it got delayed because they're adding some features that they previously said were outside of the intended scope, like building bridges.

No idea. They always said that bridges were something they might add in a DLC but that wasn't going to be part of the base game. Then they changed their mind apparently. It's not the only reason for the delay though, they're also working on other things like improving the performance and stuff.

How's the economy? At some point all builders have wonky numbers that kill the game for me, like that anno where it's all ablut spice at a certain point.

They're a very small studio with pretty good sales. On one hand it makes them slow as fuck, on the other they have a single owner who doesn't have to answer to any investors.

I haven't played the EA version in a long time since I've been waiting for the full release. Last time I played the economy itself was pretty easy to handle, but I'd always end up getting fucked by the infinitely scaling raids in the lategame.

They should be a leader in the industry. Games shouldn't take more than 2 years to develop. Unfortunately there's no financing vehicle for games and crowd funding is as crooked as banks are.

Not that I know. AFAIK they choose the city builder to bridge the gap between creating a rts engine and an actual rts game. High expectations, as they might revive the genre.

Their engine is a little rough/dated now but they also stuck with it to provide a ton of solid content so I can't complain.
If the entire rest of the industry gave it over to retarded dei slop I'd still have GD replays to go back to.
Glad they're getting their due after getting unfairly shafted over Titan Quest.

Just look at grim dawn. It's like 10 years old and a serious contender to d2, with minimal budget.

Well, few people can only go so far.

It's necessary to follow these guidelines. No financing if you don't implement propaganda. It starts at "game universities". Educators usually have ties to goverment or ngos. Soon after the killer games debate politics started to use games as mean of communication and instructed banks to not give loans to these companies, so they had to rely on other means to fund development, official grants. These grants force you to implement dei. In the eu they even have checklists, like girl boss and strong african guy.

They don't care, nor do the decision makers grasp the concept of stereotypes. Their goal is to inflate goverment spending to increase political power. The more clowns you have following the false song of propaganda, the better.
