Remasters are more likely, but literally who fucking cares. F3 is shit and people interested in New Vegas has already replayed it to death.

Very clear Microsoft's plan is to focus on Fallout 76, Outer Worlds 2 and Clockwork Revolution since Bethesda is working on a new Elder Scrolls.

I once saw a guy wearing a Vault Boy t-shirt and told him I liked the first two games and he replied, "Me too, I loved 3 and New Vegas"

An outsourced Fallout 3 remaster is obviously up next. That will probably happen for Skyrim, Morrowind, and Fallout 4 before the next actual release.

The only non-sequential number title Bethesda did is 76, so probably Fallout 5. Probably east coast like their others (maybe Florida?). Probably shitty writing and even more watered down RPG mechanics like their others. Todd never changes.

They could just set it before the F1. Like those russian fan games do.

Problem is with Fallout, it's no longer replayable. Enclave was right in both 2 and 3, about killing all the muties. 1 didn't have any memorable fights. New Vegas and Tactics have nothing to offer for the 6 millionth rerun. 4 just plain sucks. I think they'll do the show bit for one more season, if that is not cancelled yet after the shitty season 1, and than forget the ip. They focued too much on the quirky retard shit, instead of survivalism, and harshness of a world like that, not enough proper fighting in the show either to compensate.

Fallout 3's problem was never the graphic, but that the game sucked. Forced diversity everywhere, unlikeable characters, and the "bad" guys made more sense than the faction the player character helped, also shit ending.

Every remaster just limits the amount of players that could play a game, so at most they should just keep patching the original, with bugfixes, and compatibility fixes, with the graphics update being optional.

Problem with 3 for me that it went too far into craziness and made setting feel like on bad jet induced drug trip, when others, despite being essentially fantasy games with how technology, radiation works, still feel like living worlds. 3 just feels uncanny.

4 is less of a jet induced trip, but it's just bland.
I think when it comes to environments, at least, Bethesda actually made something good for 76, but too bad that the content of the game is stuck behind a shitty live service model.

I tried to play originals, but isometric jank gameplay is just not for me.
Also, with how the top down and different graphically those games are they are in their own category.
Unless you mean plot point and random encounters of that game. It seems to some stupid bullshit, yeah.

I saw Tim Cain and Boyarski (original creators) play FO1 on a stream, and even they had trouble with the interface.

But yeah FO2 is the goofiest game in the series, it went full retard.

Oh those poor folks with hardware from the 2000s.. I guess they just have to keep playing the original

Fallout 5 will make it so that every character can unlock any type of perk, and all of them will be +1% chance to do more damage to a very specific type of enemy. Strength will only give 1+ carry weight and base Agility will be 100 + 1 per point. Also they'll add some sort of weird UI so that you need Script Extender to make basic changes to the game's balance.
