Not sure exactly when you mean. If you mean in BG3, the goal of all gods is to single-mindedly act on their domain, and spread their domain.

When murders are done, especially in Bhaal's name, it is sort of like the clink of change added to his pocket. Bhaal is also a young and uppity god in Faerun terms. Jergal is an old conservative.

Only since 3.X and the new retarded writers decided to bring them back time and time again.
Bane being gone was fine, Iyachtu Xvim being a demigod that tries to reach divinity and become the new god of tyranny was fine.
If you cant tell, this is literally what BG was inspired by.

Bane was brought back due to Memberberries and Disney-Tier writing.
Same for Bhaal, he was supposed to be dead for good.
Myrkul was the only who was supposed to be around because while he technically is dead he infused multiple artifacts with his Divinity.

Bane, Bhaal & Myrkul coming back is literally HEY MEMBER THE DEAD THREE

You are talking out of your ass to such a degree that Im feeling secondhand embarrassment just from reading it.
After the success of Dragonlance they wanted to establish a more coherent Setting than Oearth or Faerun that until then had been mainly existing as snippets in Dragon Magazine.
FR as we know now didnt truly exist outside of short stories until 2E/AD&D.

>I see the cope is strong with you.

Assassin was removed from 1st edition=Bhaal was killed off.
Illusionist was removed from first edition=Leira was killed off.
Wild Magic was introduced=Mystara was deaded.

The whole thing was written in reverse with awareness of 2nd edition changes. The Avatar trilogy, which was indeed an attempt by TSR to cash in on the Dragonlance novels popularity and they did this with all their settings, were written by multiple people under a pseudonym.
>You are talking out of your ass to such a degree that Im feeling secondhand embarrassment

Its not.
Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 don't have good stories, they are mediocre on top of having bad gameplay and bad level design and looking dry and bland as ever.
This is why their fans are incredibly salty about the better RPG developer (Larian Studios) with Divinity Original Sin and Baldur's Gate 3.
They know stories in these choice-driven games are not going to be deep or amazing anyway, so they drop pretending to be deep or serious, embrace their goofy nature, and instead work on gameplay systems and level design to make the experience of actually playing the game more fun.
Also by polishing acting and character performance, you end up relating more to what's happening and in the end the story interactions are way more memorable as a result.

No, it's how most people driven solely by power, ambition or psychotic rage end up as. The only one who could potentially avoid a bad fate would be Kagain, since he is completely money-oriented.

Sarevok has proven, time and again, in both BG1, BG2 and ToB, to be driven solely by a lust for power. It makes absolute sense that, eventually, he would crawl to Daddy Bhaal in search for it, and it paid off - he's the leader of Bhaal's church within a metropolis AND has a family of his own, to boot.

No, they're from an official expansion. It's also funny that people hate on Hexxat, when she's the only black character in the series who actually is from Chult, as opposed to Valygar (ancient Amnish noble family), Mazzy (Trademeet), Sarevok (Howling Hills, slightly east of Baldur's Gate), Dynaheir (Rashemen, the Slavland of the setting) or Wyll (Baldur's Gate).

You mean the same as most people would kill Zhentarim agents on sight (Xzar and Montaron)? Or a priest of Cyric (Tiax)? Or a drow priestess of Shar who just murdered an entire family (Viconia)? Wow, your logic is flawless! It's almost as if a non-evil, non-crazy main character would have nothing to do with those people, including Hexxat!

Who the fuck cares about the nigra thing? Hexxat is an unlikable bitch that kills a cutie that you can't save (withough a mod), potentially soflocks you game if you are curious enough to open her bag of holding and take out a coffin that you can neither put back nor drop (coffin weights a ton) - a bug that will never be fixed by the way - the only companion who has stats in 90+ while being a useless non-kitted vanilla thieff (competing with a full caster that does the same thing she does, a literal dragonkilling chad and a multiclass with access to 2 HLA lists at once). Nevermind the laziest writing in the game (YES, WORSE THAN DORN).

But my point came across, I hope. Evil party members meet bad ends in Forgotten Realms games. This carried over into NWN with the likes of Bishop, who ended up at the Wall of the Faithless, or Ammon Jerro, who ended up with his soul stolen.
