The most fun I ever had with this game was frontline :Pirate/Hoplite/Arbalist and backline: Ninja/Princess. Not a strong team but a fun one with alot of dynamism and shifting

I have used Sovereign/Monk/Arbalist/Farmer/Zodiac and did quite well up to 3rd Stratum. But you should go with 5 Farmers + Zodiac Support (Hoplite-Ninja/Gladiator-Buccaneer/Arbalist-Gladiator/Monk-Sovereign/Zodiac-Buccaneer)
