Decided to try Chrono Trigger coz everyone agrees It's fantastic, got confused with the tutorial robot guy at the fair who's clearly there to teach the dumbest of the dumb how to do things. I seem to be dumber than the dumbest of the dumb.
Wat do? (other than kms)

Thanks for your precious time, lads.

Is chrono trigger a viable alternative to morrowind bait threads? Find out next time, on VRPG Z!

Also, want to add that I've played a few non-turn based action rpg's, (I think that's the right category) really enjoyed them and played them to 100%
I'm wondering if maybe the fact that they weren't turn based and more platformy/side scrollery was what I liked so much about them and that maybe rpg's just aren't for me? Maybe?
Thanks again, bros.

I don't like 3d games, other than the Half-Life/Portal games and the first F.E.A.R and it's expansions. Didn't like F.E.A.R 2 tho.
I really enjoy watching my bros play 3d/fps/3rd peerson stuff tho; kind of like a girlfriend would.

The robot dude is actually a pretty hard boss to beat.
The intended player experience is that you're supposed to dish as much damage as possible before going down, and being awarded for damage delt. Think of him like a fancy test your strengt machine, and downing him as the bell ringing.
You're not doing anything wrong by not defeating him. The actual combat tutorial (shitty enemies you can thrash) is ahead of you, just ignore the robot for now. If you get confused by the shitling little combat fellas, then come back to us with questions.

Also don't listen to anyone telling you to play Morrowind, it's shit.

Anon, Gato teaches you about enemy counters and how to learn to get around them. An adult should read what the game says instead of trying to damage race him.
If OP can't learn from Gato, he's gonna die at the first actual boss and then complain about needing to grind.

Nothing what I said contradicts the idea that you're not necessarily meant to beat gato on your first encounter. It's meant as a neat thing to leturn to at a later playthrough. Yes you can counter ect, that prolongs the inevitable and lets you dish out more damage.
>If OP can't learn from Gato, he's gonna die at the first actual boss
Wrong, gato is way harder.
