>>3791796There was still tons of strategy guides coming out during these days, but most were pretty bad, and it made them seem even worse since now they had tons of online resources to compete with.
What I always liked most about strategy guides was when they would be loaded up with things that you would never know about otherwise, and things like lore, exclusive art, and development notes. But, it seemed like most of them during this generation were just barebones walkthroughs with some crappy maps and stuff.
(I think I actually have the strategy guide for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City that I got free somewhere many years ago. I wonder how bad that thing is.)
