What exactly is the expectation here? Why does this random faggot with a broom have double the defense of my strongest character's attack, have a skill that makes him take half damage after I get him below half HP, and is able to oneshot almost everyone on my team? I just don't get it, all my characters are over level 80, how the fuck am I supposed to pass this retarded stat check?

I did try to inflict bleed over and over, but his gayass skill removes the bleed stacks faster when he's below 50% and I can't abuse Windwalker to get out of range like I have been with most enemies, so I can't outlast him

kinda funny how this game practically expects you to cheese it

It is for a new game plus. If you have the mansion, you may have noticed a room with Steels and obelisks.
You can put manuals there to store for next run or merge them to combine effs.
Surprised you have not unlocked the battle tower.
You should finish this run and get somne inheritance points.
You can carry over more points and unlock more talents by maxing out skills, social stats, marrying women and destroying sects

I'm aware. This is, as far as I'm aware, part of the main questline for the route I've chosen. Doing the Ye family batallion shit and this is one of the battles for the Duke Chai series of events. I have to finish this fight if I want to get to an ending, I think. Believe me, I'm very eager to get to a second playthrough and start putting that Fast Runner skill to work among other things

Highjacking this thread to ask: Is there any real difference in weapon types outside of range and the chosen scaling stat? Could someone give me the QRD of weighing the pros and cons of each? I want to like instruments, but I keep dying when I make instrument users.

Your stats are irrelevant to the weapon.
Like, if you are a Str build, you go thunder whether you use brush, flute or sword.
Theer are a few tricks for specific weapon types, like picking up the talent that lets you use any music manual with any instrument (like flute manual while you use zither)

Are non-strength builds viable? I tried a couple before, but without boosting strength even the snakes in the starting area felt like they barely taking damage
