yo /vrpg/ I never come here but perhaps you can help

Anyone here have strong opinions on which versions of the various Final Fantasy games I should play on PC? As in which ones I should just buy off of Steam and which ones I should go through the trouble of emulating, and then which versions I should emulate. Please point me to a general thread if there is one.
I'm trying to play:
>FF4
>FF6
>FF7
>FF8
>FF9
>FFX

>FF4 and FF6
snes
>FF7
ps1
>FF8
ps1
>FF9
ps1
>FFX
ps2
the versions of these games that are available for purchase on steam are all significantly worse for various reasons, don't bother paying for them.

If you want a non-brain dead experience then I suggest the 3D versions of FF3 and 4. Otherwise the various PC ports of each one are fine. I quite like the zodiac version of 12 more than the ps2

I remember looking up PCGwiki and pretty much all of them had some major port issue, except 12's.

The only game I prefer the remaster for is 12. Everything else I would emulate the originals with a CRT filter.

Ff9 has an ai upscaled background mod that makes it look fantastic for only 9gb. I played with 100% steal my first time and don't regret it either.

Ff7 has a PC version that might still be a good way to play.
