>watch streamers play rpgs
>they always have the most stupidest build
>they play rpg in fucking "easy"
>they still struggle
We laugh about the "journalist" mode but watching normalfags play games make you wonder how they can still breath.
Unicorn Overlord was eye opening, these people were making multiple party of 2 members then throwing them to the meat grinder to advance.

Why would you watch a full lenght rpg lp of a game you like?
They are only okay for shit like anything that shoots or watch them play soulless AAA slop so you dont have to play them.

I game on twitch occasionally, 30 followers so nothing to talk about lmao. As I understand it, entertaining a large audience while also going balls deep into RPG mechanics is quite difficult to juggle. You end up with people going full joke build often to ease the double task because it is entertaining in itself (to kids who also do not care about numbers). If I play baldur's gate 1 and there is like 2 guys watching it gets easier to actually talk shop while playing.

Watching people stream my game was a bit painful sometimes.
I had descriptions of every ability. They didn't read them or use them.
Then they predictably got raped by encounters where they had tools to win. Like playing a low damage output healers class, fighting a caster enemy, and trying to heal through the damage rather than silence it. Or playing a warrior and never parrying.
I patched in explicit instructions that you have to click through upon gaining a level that explains what abilities do and when you should use them as a result.
Also, a lot of those same dudes complained that the tutorial was overbearing, because it makes you equip your weapons and skills before the game lets you move.
I saw this the other day and feel fucking vindicated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHo2DvnVrzs
Home boy gets rekt in the first battle in an old NES game because he didn't equip his characters.

anon, streamers aren't normalfags. Just like journalists they games to be easy, their reason being so their audience of babies doesn't fall asleep if he doesn't interact with them for the billionth time or if the thing on screen isn't different than it was 2 minutes ago

RPGS are generally more fun on easy. They are never balanced in fun ways. The fun comes from creative builds.

the average, popular twitch streamer is just a normalfag with slightly more intelligence and charisma. Their behavior is still 100% tuned to appealing to normalfags, which makes them a normalfag.

Even the queen of an ant colony is still an ant.

This. I honestly hate watching people play or even talk about my favorite games. 99 times out of 100, it's fucking torture.

>watch a "speedrunner" play a game they have played for decades
>don't know where basic thing is or struggle with a game mechanic since it's not normally in the category they run
If you don't know the game you shouldn't speedrun it, simple as.

If speedrunning were chill instead of full of trannies, autists, and generally emotionally volatile manchildren I’d agree with you. But why would I want to watch someone fail runs for hours and then throw a tantrum?
