>>3794784>Over lvl 50 at the end of disc 2, it's way more fun if you actually fight most enemies. Not really. I was level 100 by the end of disc three and it was still pretty boring, because fighting the tough stuff you need in order to level up is going to give you materials that refine into spells to make you stronger, and if you use them, you'll still be strong as fuck.
>inb4 "HURRRRR, don't use them then"When you have to rely on the player purposefully limiting themselves in order to have any kind of challenge or satisfaction, you've made a bad game. It's not even fucking hard to get OP and stay OP for the entirety of FF8. You basically just need to refine some curagas, waters, and tornadoes on disc 1 (incredibly easy as most of the items are drops/steals from common overworld enemies, or simply available to buy in stores), and then most of it won't need to be replaced until after the strong enemies appear in Esthar on disc 3โand you'd need to farm those same enemies to get stuff to make the ultimate weapons, anyway.
Yeah, the most efficient way to get OP is to play Triple Triad obsessively in the early game, but even if you don't, you still practically trip over everything you need to stay OP throughout the game. FF8 is only challenging if you're the kind of retard who doesn't engage with game mechanics, won't look at their inventory, or simply can't look at two numbers and tell which is higher.
