>Monoco joins the party late game
>have to grind a million years to unlock his abilities
>there are no significant side quests beyond a couple of scavenger hunts, the companion quests, and bonus boss battles
>Monoco's companion quest involves one of the most difficult boss battles in the game, and you have to do it with only Monoco and Verso
This is a great game, but fuck Monoco and fuck the devs for designign Monoco this way.

Not that late honestly and getting most of his skills is not really all that hard. If you donยดt want to use him on a few encounters on every area you can always wait until the actual late game and learn (most of) the skills at the endless tower.

He is pretty versatile too.

I invested a ton into Verso to make him an absurdly strong glass cannon that could one or two-shot most bosses, so that fight was pretty easy for me. I do feel like, for whatever reason, Monoco, despite being the interesting "blue mage" type character, his skills and damage potential feel somewhat weak to me though

Haven't played the game but having a blue mage type join late seems retarded. Xenoblade 3 did the same thing, the Soulhacker class is effectively a Blue Mage class but you only get it in chapter 5 and the game has 7 chapters.

All of the early game enemies reappear in the last act 2 dungeon so you don't need to backtrack, getting his abilities is easy as fuck because all you need to do is beat that enemy when he's in the party alive, and there's plenty of side content especially in act 3. What are you smoking?

Aside from the fact that there is like half a game to go through, all but a few enemeis are in the dungeons you go through and new overworld areas.
Almost nothing needs backtracking.
The only actual issue is that you need to keep him in the party constantly (or at least until you see everything in one area/dungeon).
If you don'/;t, then it is a pain

I put him in my party once I got him.
He got all but five or so of his skills before act 3, and the gauntlet gave most of them after that.

His is the only companion quest I didn't/couldn't do because he was underleveled.

Where can I download the OST for this game? I was willing to buy the game after pirating it because I enjoyed it enough to support the devs, but I'm not paying 20 bucks for some mp3s no matter how many there are.

>Monoco joins the party late game
Like 40-50% in
>Have to grind a million years to unlock his abilities
Beat the requisite enemy type ONCE, and you can get like half of his abilities in the last dungeon of act 2
>there are no significant side quests beyond (more side content than most JRPGs its trying to imitate typically ever had)
And?
>Monoco's companion quest involves one of the most difficult boss battles in the game
A heavily scaled down version of it, and you're doing it with 2 characters when the actual version of the boss is a forced 1v1

They forgot to do his attack animations, and didn't want you to notice, so he's intentionally shit. It's really obvious on his
Dualliste attack. Copy/paste, but unlike Dualliste boss, he gets atrocious camera angles.

Kongol's two problems were that he was the slowest and most magically-deficient character when bosses start ramping up magical damage, and he was gimped because if you don't backtrack to buy his spirit early (which you won't blind) then you don't get it until the last dungeon of the game.

As much as every other party member. If anything Monocos quest is one of the better ones. Maelle has a better dugeon and a unique boss, but she's main, so eh.

I put all my bonus points into Monaco and he still ends up a buffer/debuffer because Maelle is so retard powerful out of the box. Fun to llay as though.

His point is breaking/support. It's somewhat fun to have whole party dedicated to breaking, but there's that breaking on death picto that makes dedicated breaking pointless.
