Adventures of Hourai High is the funniest classic JRPG I've played. It's even presented like a comedy anime, with an episodic structure to the game's arcs. I think the translation patch breaks some elements about the game, though, and requires a patch of its own if you want to play it in English.

Yeah the soundtrack is great. The names of the tracks are great too, like "islam is the party religion" and "www.friendlydads.net the friendliest dads on the net"

The second game fell apart and never came out sadly, but a lot of music was released for it.

Penny Arcade rightfully gets shat on now, but if you were a fan up until around '06 / '07, the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness games are pretty good. Very dumb humor, though.

1 & 2 are very different from 3 & 4, but they're each relatively short and try some interesting things gameplay-wise.

FF9 nails comedy extremely well. Almost every scene fSteiner, Quina and Zorn & Thorn are in are so funny. The moogles are funny too.
