It must suck to come from a generation where Skyrim and Minecraft were the most impactful games. They were made so many years ago now and the kids who imprinted on them really can't let them go and haven't been given anything similar that they can enjoy.

There are tons of Minecraft clones and open world survival games in general that scratch the same itch. And Minecraft is still playable.
Now Skyrim didn't have any decent successor and the modding scene while impressive never really addressed the game's main problem: the dialogues, quests and stories.
