Tell me cheating techniques about bg and iwd. Skull trap etc
>>3805138 (OP)Protection of... Makes you immune
>cheating techniqueUsing regular mechanics
>>3805183The basilisk thing is intentional, rather than a cheat.
if you blind your own thief he will always do a backstab if he manages to hit
>>3805806Or just having skeletons tank in general since they are permanent summons and you get a bunch per cast. And then using slings since unlike bows they add your strength bonus to damage.
if you know where are enemies, you stand away from them so they dont see and attack you, then you strike them with death cloud, fire balls etc. they wont charge on you if they wont see you
Fire Shield + Frost Shield + Death Armor + Otiluke's Shield on one guy, aggro = watch everything kill itself. In IWD 2
For me, it’s clicking on blue circle enemies to initiate dialogue then attacking them
>>3805798bounty hunter thieves can also set traps in the middle of combat when blind for the same reason
>>3805138 (OP)Everyone throwing fireballs. Dex check can only get you past first few, then it's slaughtering time.
Fasten characters is biggerst cheat
>>3805138 (OP)You can cast the priest/druid spell Magic Resistance offensively to cripple high MR enemies like golems by overriding their magic resistance with the comparatively tiny amount from the buff. Since it's considered a positive effect it bypasses MR itself, there's no save and it doesn't cause neutral creatures to become hostile.
>>3805138 (OP)>Set 20x Skull Traps for 20d6 damage for a maximum of 2,400 damage>Set Contingency to fire on Time Stop or visual of enemy, Improved Alacrity triggers>Chain Contingency auto-fires, 3x Abi-Dalzim’s Horrid Wilting = 3 × 20d8 for a 480 max damage>Spell Sequencer releases 3 more Abi-Dalzims for another 480 max damage>Cast Spell Trigger manually with Comet + Dragon’s Breath + Delayed Blast Fireball = 420 max>Cast Time Stop manually, now cast 12x Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting, 20d8 each, 12x160 = 1920 max damage>5700 max damageBelieve it or not, this is actually a non-cheese strategy. If you go full blown cheese, you can just do infinite spellcasting.
>>3811541There is a bug that doesn't let the same AoE spell cast from Time Stop take effects more than once though (something to do with queueing up the same effect ID into the same frame ).
>>3805138 (OP)Honestly, all 4 games are so easy in default modes that there is really no tricks or tips you need. The only real tricks are
BG1:
>Get magical weapons ASAP since all nonmagic ones break>start every battle with a haste spell and a fireball>Beat Sarevok by luring him outside the church, ambush himBG2:
>Most quests at the start are too high level. Just do copper coronet, Nalia D'arnise quest, and shade dragon/mazzy...mabye cult of the sightless eye too.>Haste and fireball again wins 90% of fights>WHIRLWIND>WHIRLWIND>WHIRLWIND>WHIRLWIND
