Because Lord of the Rings is about life affirming sense of adventure, which made for literally the entire RPG legacy of good vidya.

ER's writing not withstanding, because the narrative in ER is not actually like GoT, and more like LOTR.

Yes, incredibly overlooked game mainly because of JANK. It takes a while to click but when it does hits hard.
