>>3815744 (OP)None. I mean the RPG mechanic conventions used in manga and anime are broken power fantasies.
Like, infinite inventory space. They'll use it to drain a lake. Then cheese a SSS rank dragon-fish that can't move and is slowly suffocating, to power level their sex slave to lv300. That's not even a "game" anymore. It's instant gratification.
For male characters, they want to be self-sufficient. They don't want a social identity. All they want from other characters is a need to be needed. People with problems to solve. A quest.
For female characters, the idea is to give them agency at first. So they have some OP crafting ability and make an amulet or potion that gives themselves ridiculous stats and the means to do anything. Now she's a self-made woman that don't need no man. But the problem is that no man needs her. As stated above, men don't want to be dependent. So they give her a lesbian companion or a vampire demon lord that's basically a woman in a man's body -- and from then on, they do all the work that she could do herself, as if her lifting a finger to do anything is a tragedy. And everyone else with a lick of independence and willpower should feel ashamed for being inept, incompetent, and unequal to their goddess queen.
