i found a way to level a character up quickly in a RPG

have one guy kill all the monsters and make the others run away. All the experience points will go to that one guy instead of being split up among all the team members

i got this guy to level 80 by doing this

i am gonna keep this in mind when i play the remake on playstation
i'll just level up the main character and make him nearly invincible

i thought everyone knew already about this

playing SO2 i removed all the party members only to solo with Claude

but ultimately at what cost? grinding makes the game a joke.

Damn near every RPG in history works like that. The REAL meta is in RPGs where people gain EXP before they join/rejoin the party and exploiting that.

Xenosaga 1 for example has some parts where Shion is by herself and can access previous areas. Considering XS has six party members and is rather stingy on EXP, the few times you can exploit this are worth it.

>game has scaled experience rewards, giving much more to low level characters to catch up
>taking lvl 1 characters and winning a single lvl 20 battle makes them stronger than your main party
Potato Flowers was a crazy game

How do you exploit it in Xenosaga? I never finished it but might go back to play it. I remember it was very story heavy but the story was good, I was just impatient.

>Watching the exp counter go nuts in Suikoden and seeing a level suck character go up like 30 in a single battle

Any part where you meet the following conditions
1: Shion is alone. No other party members, menu is EMPTY of everyone except Shion.
2: You can access the EVS, you get an email about it a few dungeons into the game. This is what lets you go to previous areas. Go there and kill monsters Shion is capable of soloing.

If you really want to break Xenosaga though, use Shion's Ether Amp ability, it turns even Momo into a killing machine.

i tried it with vay
it didn't work
they don't run away
Anonymous No.3860827 [Report]

If they can't run individually you gotta kill them.

This is a cute thread about a kid or mentally ill person discovering basic autistic grind strategies. Very degreased pizza.

let them die and only give hp to the character that you want the experience points to go to
Anonymous No.3860840 [Report]
i am gonna try it. i'll let all my teammates die and see if all the experience points go to remaining member
i'll see how much i can level up by doing this
Anonymous No.3860856 [Report] >>3860887
i don't think that worked either. it still split the experience points among the team members

it's not bad. it's the typical 16 bit jrpg that existed on 2d consoles at that time

oh, for sure it's better than those classics that everyone praises even though you haven't heard of it.
