How are you liking the new expansion?
wake me up when asia drops and i can play it at 1fps like a powerpoint presentation
>>2036760 (OP)What the is PSS? PSP for zoomers?
I'm in the early stages of a Denmark->Scandinavia game with the plan being to just take de jure Scandinavia and then play tall while staying out of the Christians' way. However, this happened while I was raiding France. Fuck should I do with it, just use it to unite Scandinavia faster or should I switch my goals and blobmaxx south?
Dyre also got Conqueror (near the start of the game but not that much earlier than me) and I'm allied with him for now through my son's marriage so we'll be on the same team for a long time, but I'm guessing the Ruthenian blob is going to head west sooner or later.
>>2036761You already can with mods
>>2036760 (OP)Didnt even know. Ill keep ignoring it
>>2037177Conquerers have their own AI goals so I think they are not good long term Allies
There is no downside to taking it and using it for your own purposes to get what you want and then dropping the trait later, unless you want things to be more difficult since the trait is extremely OP as you know
>>2037401tbqh he wasn't a conqueror when I allied with him

I havenโt played in a while. Can you start as a landless adventurer without that dlc or is it required? Iโve been thinking about doing a run involving that.
>>2039617just crack the dlc
I started a new campaign in CK3 in the area where Iran would be at. How the fuck are these Oghuz people so swole though? They have like 900 "special soldiers" and many regular troops. Not sure what I do but they are dunking on everyone in this area. I started in the year 867.
Any news on the Anbennar CK3 my brothers and sisters (male)?
Also does Gojheira do anything to stop mid-to-late game snowballing? I watched some videos on it by soul tomato and it looks pretty interesting.
>>2040659is it the Seljuks or the Oghuz that spawn around the Aral Sea at the start of the game
>>2040740I think its the Oghuz because that is who I see around me. I don't see Seljuks. But anyone, looks like they are doing "sponsored conquests" but they have waaay more dudes than I do. Not even sure how I stand against them. What is giving them the special soldiers?
>>2040741oh, I think the sponsored conquest shit is something to do with the Iranian Intermezzo DLC, but the only time I ever played in that region was without the DLC, so I have no clue
I wish there were more diplomatic options for enforcing the end of a war without meeting all the war goals. Like if a rebelling vassal is completely fucked and has no allies or MaAs left, let me negotiate a surrender where I promise to not revoke his title or burn him at the stake in exchange for sparing me several months of sieging his castle.
>>2039470>>2039589Too much make up, in my opinion. I use EPE together with Fair Lords/Ladies, Beautiful Portraits, and Young and Beautiful.
>Start as ruler of Polotsk
>Feudal realm surrounded by tribal fucks

>Itโs 500g just to convert this new territory to Feudal
>Iโm making like 2-3G per month
>No raiding because feudal
>Survive purely on stimulus cheques from the Pope and random money if I get lucky to capture someone during a holy war
What the fuck do I even do here? I just managed to scrimp 500g together do I slam it all into converting 1 messily bit or land or build stuff on my main holding?

>Hand off established and profitable fief to runt child that got bullied into having BOTH Craven and Shy while their siblings are all either Pillar Man knights, world-renowned scholars, or my one sick fuck daughter spymaster who tried to seduce me and also keeps trying to murder everyone she dislikes even slightly
>A decade and some change later when I'm now infirm and waiting to die, they're this far in debt and constantly stressed even though I put down at least three uprisings for them, increased control for them, have been running constant raid defense for them since they're right at the border of my own holdings, fed them several artifacts, and married them to a ubermensch spouse who is hard carrying them in stats.
Is this what it's like to be a disappointed parent? They even somehow managed to become a fat fuck despite having no traits that raise their target weight. Is having Shy truly this much of a debuff for the AI?
I genuinely feel bad for not letting them stay my cup bearer forever. When I have an actual child, I will helicopter and do everything in my power to ensure they're as fit and prepared for the real world as possible no matter how autistic they may be.
>>2041673Shy is a terrible trait for AIs, and craven is bad too. They give a lot of stress and lock them out of stress reducing activities. There's a reason people hate the beating event so much.
And low stewardship is bad for vassals. High stewardship means more taxes and more development growth.
That vassals high diplomacy and martial stats are also basically irrelevant since you deal with their uprisings, raids, and control for them. And their high intrigue is more likely to be used against you than to benefit you.
So yes, that child should have stayed as your cupbearer.
>>2040963Paradox needs to port the eu4 peace deal system into everyone of their games, it's by far the best one.

Has anyone here tried crusader wars? I've never played a total war game, but the idea of playing as an actual general and seeing the actual battlefield seems like a super cool concept, plus it always somewhat annoyed me that battles with thousands of soldiers are just represented by 2 guys fighting. Thinking of getting total war attila and learning it just for this, is the mod actually fun, or does it get boring after a while or is it more trouble than it's worth or some shit like that?
Just got this for GOT mod. It's okay... any fun playthroughs? I tried Stannis and currently have a Darkstar game going. I wish Dani was playable.
Anyone here browse the CK2 AtE Deposed threads? Would anyone want to see a CK3 AtE submod that changes several things?
>>2042540Targs are playable, you just have to do some tricks with the adventurer band, the dedicated mod page has the details, you can even let them be and play as the blackfyre nigga instead
Once again PDX fails to see the point of complaints. This is still not difficulty, it is just giving AI even more cheats and crippling the player. Those DEI hires really were a mistake.
>>2042208I would rather look at the horse, and give him a lick.
combat prediction works like ass lately. Plus icon basically means 50/50 now.
>>2042670Learn to read, you illiterate brown subhuman. It says literally right there in your image that they're temporarily adding these arbitrary values while they work on adding proper, organic difficulty into the game because they realized having untested and unbalanced modifiers is better than having nothing.
>>2042895difficulty could only come from having a more complex AI, which they wont do. These "temporary" measures gonna be permanent.
>>2042895They could have added those arbitrary values when they added the arbitrary values for the easy mode. They clearly tried to increase the difficulty in other ways but failed and resorted to this. I don't think they'll ever add proper difficulty.

>Game of Thrones
>Prince of Darkness
>Fallen Eagle
>LOTR
What total conversion mods am I missing? So far, I loaded up LOTR, played Saruman, looked around the map, realized LOTR just would never work/play right as a CK3 mod, and closed out of it. I loaded up the vampire mod, looked around, was overwhelmed/and it seemed kind of shitty at the same time... so I closed out of it. Fallen Eagle and Game of Thrones are the most fun so far.
>>2044721Elder Kings, Godherja, check them out
>>2044665Probably because of how nomad cultures work because it requires borders and nomad camps and borders might be set up to be different
Hopefully theyโll fix that or those โcan hybrid at a lower acceptanceโ traditions are much less useful
>>2042670>we want difficulty and challenge to be something that arise organically from how our mechanics interactmaybe if they made the AI anything but a dribbling fucking retard it would be difficult, but that would require actual work.

>>2046225It's basically just turned into the sims, and most systems in the game are too flexible. The gamified currencies are balanced around scaling costs (which don't cap soon enough or scale fast enough to deal with players).
There's essentially no difference between different parts of the map or different cultures other than how much mana you have to spend to make them look the way you want.
It's way too easy to become ridiculously overpowered and vassal management is a piss take

>>2036760 (OP)I love CK3 and I like this expansion. However, the way paradox has been handling these updates is not great. A update comes out this morning and NOW my game doesnโt work, whereas it worked on the previous version. Then I canโt just go back to 1.16.2.2 (or whatever) I have to go back to 1.16.2.0
Crashing is such a huge issue already and it makes me shudder to think what will happen when they add all of east Asia. For that matter, a setting to remove certain parts of the map would be amazing. When Iโm playing in Europe (as I usually do) I donโt need sub Saharan Africa or India in my playthrough. I hope they figure this out BEFORE they add China in the game.

Of course you couldnโt reach the second floor because they never made ladders or stairs or even invented a wheel, but thatโs neither here nor there
>>2049521>>2049535Zanzibar was a well placed port for foreign merchants to stop in to buy slaves, resources and food from sub-Saharan Africa, without having to go into the interior of the continent. The name "Zanzibar" is Arabic/Persian and roughly means "black coast" or "land of the blacks."
Basically, it was only relevant because merchants from the Middle East and India went there a lot during the time period. It was more relevant during Europa Universalis's timeline, when Europeans showed up.

Still annoyed that CK3 lets me burn children at the stake but doesn't let me rape 18-year-old women. I mean I can force them into being my concubines sure but where's the option to just rape her once or twice and then ransom her off? Raiding al-Andalus would be way more enjoyable if I could rape cute young muslim princesses while doing it.

>>2050048You have to work long in advance. Marry your heir/children/dynasty to the 3rd, 4th, or further in line to inherit titles, then kill everyone who comes before them. Then you can get your heirs heir to inherit the title so that you'll eventually get it. And you can speed that up by killing them.

China
>Hegemony tier (higher than empire, no generic types de jure cases than Rome & India)
>Celestial Government, administrative with house heads, governors, and influence, but appointments are based off of Merit, an unspendable ranking accumulated over time by doing a good job and attending Examination activities
>Imperial Treasury: money is sent up towards the emperor, then repaid to governors in a salary, separating personal from governor treasuries, and can only be spent on things like buildings, troops, or disaster relief
>Dynastic Cycle: Stable (Expansion and Advancement), Unstable Era, Chaotic Eras
>Chinese Tributaries can receive the benefits of the Middle Kingdom
Japan
>Ritsuryล administrative governors (mostly 867 and 1066) and Soryล landed lords (mostly 1178)
>House relations are tracked, moving along scales (house feud update?), and can form Blocs, as family confederations
>Rule over Japan is a contest similar to Byzantine Emperor acclamation, as the Emperors were often relegated to ceremonial roles. Kampaku (Ritsuryล) can rule via appointment, while a Shลgun (Soryล) can lead via faction, else the Tenโnล himself can also rule as Kampaku, or "abdicate" to be a cloistered emperor

SEA
>Mandala Government for Buddhist and Hindu States, reliant on tributaries than demesne, and authority is more reliant on Piety than prestige or sometimes gold
>Temple Citadel as Main Holding Type, with Great Projects to fund your Capital Temple

>Great Projects: a building that can be funded by multiple characters, such as the Great Wall or a disaster relief package after a Natural Disaster
>Natural Disasters: a situation to strike areas, creating issues if not solved via Great Project
>Silk Road: not in detail, but will flow when stable, spreading innovations

>>2050398Idk, it all seems so... eh. "Wow admin government with some more polish!"
>>2050527>At the start of the game the Imperial power was still strong and the Emperor ruled directlyNo? The start of the game is the Heian period when the Fujiwara clan were in control and the imperial family were puppets cause their mommies were Fujiwara.
>>2050527Just read the full diary.
>The Emperor, or Tenโnล, still has great ceremonial importance and is playable, but only directly rules his own family manor in all our start dates. Like many of the noble families in Japan, he resides in the imperial capital of Kyoto.>The Emperor themselves can also aspire to the top position and, if appointed as Kampaku, is given the option to abdicate the imperial throne and rule as a cloistered emperor, representing periods of strong royal influence. This certainly does feel stupid. I know that kanpaku of other families tried to use the position to strengthen their own power, and vaguely remember the imperial line using the position themselves for three generations straight to block their vassal houses, but shouldn't it be possible for the emperor to rule as a proper emperor rather than stuck trying to get the damn role all the time? I also feel that it's strange for him to be stuck as just a random manorfag in usual times.
i hope someone makes a mod to delete japan so i wouldnt have to.
completely irrelevant island only became something after 19th century but now they gonna have 100 provinces because weebs
>>2050556Heian period is literally when the Imperial power was at its strongest. Even Fujiwaraยดs were forced to act as the Emperorยดs stewards to get into power. It wasn't until the rise of Taira that the imperial power was dwindling.
>>2050581That certainly should be possible. As I said, PDX just can't do proper research. It comes back time and time again.
There needs to be a Catholicism overhaul with a system where the pope is like a end game boss where he has much more authority than currently in the game. Make him so powerful that he can launch crusades without cooldowns when core Catholic lands are threatened. And make it so being a heretic or heathen in Catholic Europe is almost impossible and bring back secret societies as one of the few only ways to be a secret heretic where you can undermine the pope's authority over centuries by spreading your heresy secretly and bribing cardinals until you can dismantle the pope's authority enough for your heresy or heathen religion to take root. Also make it so that you have to support the pope's decisions and policies or get excommunicated (rather than this happening from just low opinion). Like make the pope have 'opinions' on certain things that Catholic characters have to support or risk excommunication (similar to the Jade Dragon dlc in ck2 where the Chinese emperor likes and dislikes certain things.
>>2050652>completely irrelevant island only became something after 19th century but now they gonna have 100 provinces because weebsYeah as opposed to places like fucking Kilwa or Taiwan, which as we all know impacted the European kingdoms greatly
i did read ibn battuta's travels after fat retard lied about him in kcd2.

>>2050063>>2050344Intrigue is stupid and ahistorical so I just turn it off
>>2050702That anon might confuse the Emperor being at the top with them actually ruling. Read about cloistered rule, while eventually they did manage to implement a system where they rule on their own it's basically done by circumventing the tradition by prematurely retire when their succesor was still a child and the former emperor act as the regent instead of a noble family.
>>2049715>>2049766This. The devs have decided to do everything lore accurate to even the detriment of the mod itself. That's why everyone has tiny beady eyes too (which I don't understand).
>>2044721>>2044745>>2045384Along with these there are also a couple more
>Warcraft: Guardians of Azeroth Reforged>ShogunateKeep in mind that besides a couple of the mods, all of these are outdated. And specifically with the Elder Kings mod it only gets updated once or twice a YEAR. They are very slow with a small team. Princes of Darkness is a good mod, tons of races, abilities, magic, lore, it's just that the World of Darkness itself is set in our world, so the map stays the same and is not as transformative as the other total conversion mods.

If China gets a de jure hegemony, Rome probably should as well. Hell, maybe the current Arabian Empire ought to be made a Hegemony.
The treasury thing seems like another stupid currency that does exactly the stuff that one of the three basic currencies is described as doing. How is it different from gold? This whole thing could by modeled by straight tax modifiers.
>>2051097Most European rulers didn't know what the culture on the other side of Europe looked like. They still knew it was there.
>>2051085why the FUCK do they insist so much on adding 3d models to games that dont need it?
>>2051116Rome probably should be a de jure hegemony since it still had a lot of cultural legitimacy throughout Europe and did for centuries after its fall. There's a reason people kept trying to portray themselves as legitimate successors to Rome and titling themselves Caesar/Kaiser/Tsar or Imperator/Emperor.
>>2051126No they didnt know where it was, had no maps, nothing, it was a magic land untill the age of discovery

>>2051159They didn't know where it was, no, but they knew it was there.
>>2051012>>2051106It doesn't use the names, it uses IDs. The AI is hallucinating.
There would be no performance impact and it would be easy to code (harder than writing new events though). The real difficulty would be coming up with the logic to do it dynamically or the time to do them all in advance using preset values.
>>2051002hmm, sunset invasion 2?
>>2050398China and Japan sound interesting but this just seems like more feature bloat. Europe already barely interacts with subsaharan africa and anything east of Persia. And only a tiny fraction of players ever actually play in India or the Steppes. So this will be an even bigger performance hit to a game that already has bad performance. I think this would honestly work together if the game was divided into two different playable maps (Europe and Asia), where in a given campaign it's impossible to directly view or interact with the continent you aren't playing on and can only do so via CK2 style China interactions. That would save performance massively.
If the Godherja devs can add the Fogeater invasion, why the fuck can't the incompetent GOT CK3 devs add the White Walker invasion?
>>2051293Nobody plays India because nobody likes poos. China and Japan, however...
>>2051097thankfully there is such thing as diplomatic range in the game already, your european rulers will never contact most of the world unless they become adventurers.

>>2051293>And only a tiny fraction of players ever actually play in India or the Steppes.Because nobody gives a shit about pajeets and random finngolian tribes. People will play China and Japan.
>>2051293I mean I'm quite excited for it personally. Japan and China will be fun, and if they plan to do something interesting with Korea that could be fun too. Also all the tiny Indonesian isles? I know for a fact I'll enjoy building an Empire there. India was boring in both CK2 and 3 because they never did anything with it. It was at the fringes of the map away from all the action and without any really defining and unique mechanics. And from a map painting perspective you only really have 2 options, through Tibet, or to the West through Persia, and dealing with the terrain in both of those areas is annoying as hell.

>>2049378When are they expanding further west so I can pillage and rape the various tribals as Vinland?
>>2051830Nah that's always been a criticism the mod has had. There is no need for the 234802384208342 provinces it has, and for a couple years they kept adding more and more each patch. It's clear the devs really enjoy the world building, but not the streamlining itself. There are a number of things that just need to be cut period, like the underground bit.

>>2041668russia region in general was dope in ck1 since you had lots of pagans and didnt need to wait for prestige to claim shit, just declare war and soon as a siege was done you got the county. Playing as a one province count in central europe was absolute hell, but I used to love it when I got really good martial lords and ruler in my realm and I used to be able to defeat bigger army simply due to that. One thing ck1 did better than ck2 or ck3 was the levy marshalling system, every province was mobilized when you clicked the mass mobilize and rulers would lead their levies and the levies would join together and have their rulers lead them and it would make for much more kino battles as you would see actual rulers dying. Sad thing is that you could track them but you could find them deceased in their sons portraits after you notice that a certain levy was missing a commander.
Ck1 did that very well, also the foster system was done perfectly, I wish paradox would have taken the levy and foster systems from ck1 to put in ck3.

>>2051878Except it's fucking cool and allows for all sorts of different LARP in different areas of the world?
>>2051625This has been infuriating. I don't get why they keep adding timelines that nobody gives a fuck about. Make it GoT mod about (1) the fucking GoT books and, sure, throw in a timeline for House of the Dragons because that's popular now too, but nothing else. What were they thinking?
>>2052366It was the same in CK2 though. I personally love all of the different timelines. In my mind the issue the mod is having is how slow they are at adding new areas to the map. It's at a snails pace, and every time they do add new land it's another stable kingdom. Almost nothing changes, it's stale, and you can't really conquer much land either if you're in a map painting mode. They desperately need to add the Summer Islands or something to that effect. A number of independent provinces that a player can just mess around with. In some of the timelines you can do that with the Disputed Lands, but then you're just sandwiched between 3 kingdoms once again. Also the map terrain is stunning, but jesus fuck it runs like shit because of it.
>>2052366Or at least do the popular stuff first then when you've finished that go ahead with all the bullshit.

Pretty decent maps. A bit surprised about Korea not getting more of Balhae's territory as part of the de jure empire.
>>2057745Japan not getting Okinawa is probably good and politically more expedient. In general denying Taiwan and Ryukyu to either Japan or China is just probably for the best.
I am a bit more divded on Amur. Seems weird for it to have territory in Japan, but I am assuming you will be able to expand de jure Japan to the region after driving out the last of the Emishi and Ainu.
>>2057747>"both the Liao and Jin dynasties will mix Chinese administrative and bureaucratic practices of their imperial government with tribal and nomadic vassals whose traditions and inclinations may clash with the oft-Sinicizing ways of their rulers and those at court."Thank christ.
Though I wonder how Kara Khitai/Western Liao will function, afaik they also brought over a more chinese style system with them to the west.

And yeah that seems like it's the problem. Russian culture head let me down. Any way to prevent people besides your heir getting free kingdoms when death is immanent?
>>2057809Either get your other kids killed or form an empire
You should be giving land you conquer to your children, that way yours doesn't get split when you die
>>2057811So if I grant a grand principality to one of my kids before I die the system won't create the kingdom and let him inherit that as well?
>>2057812It depends on the amount of kingdoms/empires you hold
For example, let's assume you had 2 male children, 3 kingdom titles and the land for a 4th that wasn't yet created. If you gave 1 of the kingdoms to your second child with confederate partition and died the 4th kingdom title would be created and your second son would get it. If you gave 2 kingdom titles to your second son before dying he wouldn't get more when you die and the 4th title wouldn't be created
>>2057818I see but sounds like either way unless I get regular partition or scale up to Empire size I'm going to start every new life needing to reclaim kingdoms
>>2057819Yes, that's correct
That's why you want to move away from confederate as soon as possible, after that you just keep 1 empire/kingdom title and you won't lose any land to regular partition
>>2055258Always has been.
>>2057809many and many ways.
Title laws
succession laws
absolute tribal authority
getting them killed
sending them to monastery if catholic
disinheritance
castration
and more
i personally prefer the first one lately since it greatly expands the options but it requires some management and can be expensive.
>>2057954title laws, if you've done everything correctly, allow you to not loose a single title after death even with confederate partition, even if your desired heir is of a non-preferred gender.

I really wonder how Paradox will depict the Emperor of Japan in a non offensive way in a game where you can rape and cannibalize any character. The Japanese still view their Emperor as holy and untouchable. It would be hypocritical for them not to do something special for him when they skip over an entire section of history just for Muslims. Especially since whatever would be depicted happening to Muhammad would be significantly less terrible than what you can do in CK3 to every character.
>>2066089Korea and Japan are huge.
>>2066089They are pretty large in real life. Look at Japan projected next to either American coast. More on Japan, it is a country that has nearly every single type of environment in the world due to its immense length.
>>2066150They have a really weird distorted shape, CK3's map projection is really terrible in general though. I don't know why they don't just copy the projection that mods were already using.
>>2066153They probably want the countries to feel big while playing in them as you will spend pretty much all your time there unless you go crazy with conquest.
Hard mode with twice the amount of conquerors is surprisingly enjoyable. Conquerors actually create stable blobs while everyone is also building alliances and troops to the limit.
Things aren't just complete walkovers like that, which does make things rather fun. It does make me wonder what random mp lobbies are like though.
>>2066148They'll treat him like any other character. The Japanese don't get special treatment like Muslims and Chinese.
>>2066153I don't know why they didn't just reuse Imperator's map but with more provinces in eastern Europe (kinda what TW Atilla did compared to Rome II), or at least reuse the projection from that game. Imperator got really experimental with its map and the result is arguably Paradox's best map, plus it had that funky globe-like effect when you looked around on it, but they decided to throw all that away for CK3's map whose projection is now this lopsided thing.
>>2066148>I really wonder how Paradox will depict the Emperor of Japan in a non offensive wayThey won't.

>>2067599I think most of the praise for CK3 comes from people who have played it very little but like the ideas of things and assume the game works the way you'd imagine it to work. >>2067616you could be a knowledge focused adventurer and go around converting people and their land to your religion, which is very tedious in the normal game without conquest. Most players who bitch about ck3 mechanics lack imagination.

>now murasaki/wisteria purple>ruled by Ten'no emperor, but power varies, with a Kampaku "regent" (not a diarch) ruling on behalf of the emperorRitsuyro
>single county governors>the Fujiwara are fucking everywhere>Kampaku works like Byzantine Acclamation, with Influence, weights, and Blocs>cannot create duchies or kingdoms, must spread their family influence>Manor domicile, unique to Japanese governmentsChrysanthemum Throne
>Yamato Emperor is a playable character>only valid for Japan itself, than any governorship>if also gains the Kampaku, can abdicate from the Chrysanthemum throne as a cloistered emperorImperial Policies
>issued by Kampaku, Shogun, or Ten'no, for all vassals>defense mobilization allows Ritusryล to access Mounted SamuraiHouse Aspirations
>like Byzantine House Powers, but with level upsHouse Relations
>free with the AuH patch>tracks House Relations, rather than characters>7 stages, from Feud to AmityBlocs
>like Confederations, but via Houses than Characters>Leading House makes decisions for it>Has a Cohesion Value, based on House Aspiration and House Relations>Bloc members will automatically join Factions of the House Head of their Bloc's Leading HouseSลryล
>turn governorship into a fief, which is a crime, but have access to Mounted Samurai and "generally band together to defend themselves">1178 is the peak of this, behead Minamoto fucking shitsKorea
>decision to unify the Husamguk under a single empire>Yongsun Throne can be created, similar to the Chrysanthemum Throne's parallel rule>unified Korea can easier hybridize, also has an Acclimation succesion law towards the YongsunMeritocratic Government
>like China: Noble Families, Estate, Merit, Exams, but no Imperial ExamsCheeky SEA Wanua there
Damn, looks like weebs only care when it's Sengoku
>>2069578Even real Japanese only give a shit about Sengoku. A big chunk of Japanese history before and after that was peaceful nothingburger (before they got scared by Whitemen) after all.
bros please
i've been trying to make creaminstaller work for two days now but i keep getting parsing errors
someone hold my hand throguh this stuff
>>2069734i dont like to post it here because it brings closer the possibility of them adding another drm, but just place the 3 files in "binaries" folder and have the dlc folders downloaded from somewhere, thats it.
.ini file must have the list of all the dlc's, you can edit it yourself if it misses the latest ones
explain to me why blocs shouldn't exist in all realms
>>2069620Ricepill me on the Sengoku period, weeaboo chuds. Is that when all the cool samurai wars and Inyuyasha shit goes down?
one of my retarded vassals is over 100 years in debt
>>2069919how, when the game starts in 867
>>2069925idk, maybe a bug
>>2069362I feel as if blocs and house relations are things all realms should have. House relations would be good for inter-realm relations as well, it would make rivalries with a neighbouring kingdom more interesting at least.
>>2069859Yeah, it's the peak of samurai combat and romanticism, mostly due to the 200 years of peace that followed, giving those war-deprived samurai centuries to build up the legends of their forebearers
Unlike how CK3's time period is mostly just court scheming in Kansai between the Fujiwara and Tachibana until the Taira and Minamoto come to blows, Sengoku was ~150 year FFA from Kyushu to Aomori, with hundreds of warlords/clans rising and falling, but making impacts on their local history. These characters and their snippets of personality creates a bunch of larger than life characters and conflicts, such as Takeda-Uesugi wars, the Ouchi attempts of playing Shogun-maker, the arrival of the Jesuits and introduction of matchlocks, the Ikko-Ikki and growth of the ashigaru, the rise of the Oda clan, the assassination of Nobunaga after his near-unification, Hideyoshi's assumption of power and the invasion of Korea, the execution of Sen no Rikyลซ, Nobunaga triumphant at Sekigahara, and the last gasp at the siege of Osaka.
Asian recordkeeping is great and they have the care to deeply cherish some of their regional champions.
>>2069938Also, yeah, most samurai dramas, like Inuyasha, are set suring Sengoku. If there are large armies running around, castles being sieged, and heavy armored samurai roaming about, it's the Warring States.
Japan's technology was isolated afterwards, but the peacetimes meant little need for armor but plenty want for school swords, so there are also plenty of Edo period dramas, particularly involving the opening of the country during the 1850s-60s Bakumatsu
>>2069931They said that house relations will be for all, coming free with the AUH update
Modular governments.
Yes or no?
>>2046387what event and what meme?
>>2056443samis wheren't even organized i to tribes so they where at the time objectivly more savage then west africans. interior north scandinavia should just be impassable terrain
Oh god, this fucking sucks. It just makes Japan into one giant mountain. When in reality there is variety of mountains, valleys, forests, hills and plains. PDX really needs to start doing at least basic research.
>>2070179It looks like crap. Reminds of Vic 3 map
>>20551458 year old child wives are BASED tho
>>2070001yes, but nowhere near as much as religion
Anyone else have this?
Steam is running, doesnt have admin and i opened it through steam
I wanna fix this before doing creamapi shit
>>2070132>You've chosen the wrong castle, foolthat fires every 5 years
>>2070216Okay, changing "steam" to "pdx" in launcher-settings.json remedied this
But now subscribed mods arent showing up in the launcher
>>2070179I had the same complaint about China
Paradox really needs to elevate so many mountains into impassible terrain because all of the civilization and military actions didn't take place in "mountains" but the settled, moderate areas alongside
plus having actual chokepoints to force military engagements is one reason I love Shogun 2
got past it by running steam as admin
>>2069746>just place the 3 files in "binaries" folderdid that and replaced the existing files (also added the dlcs to the .ini)
now launching from the launcher gives me "unable to locate the original Valve API"

>>2070616>Merchants and Trade>Feudalism and Crusades>Empire and Laws>Religion (Christianity) I don't have faith in CK3 anymore but at least it looks like they have the right priorities for what they're doing after Asia.
>>2070616i dont really know what Empire and Laws implies and doesnt seem like they do either.
>>2070433never seen that
is that an actual organization? doubt it
>>2069734Just use Steam Auto Cracker
>>2070216>>2070261Change steam to gog in the launcher settings.

whaaaaaat
>>2070840It's actually +6 I think. Intrigue perk, max level intrigue court, fully upgraded Alamut special building, one of estate building, "confidant schemer" administrative family attribute, and one of the reward for ending the Iranian struggle. Basically play as Iranian admin realm.
>>2070814It comes with the spain dlc
>>2070433I don't like this kind of event where it spawn a titled non generic character. It really break immersion when there's exist bunch of king of thieves, headless dude from court event, and the Aladin reference (court event got tons of this shit).
>>2070433How is this a 2017 meme when GTA:SA came out in 2004?
>>2070856i dont think im able to play intrigue outside of the vikangz region anymore, since i learned about their dynasty perk for +50% ransom money and +prestige equal to gold
this game is a vikang power fantasy
>>2071256became a 'meme' around 2017
