You know what would be fun? If they'd actually made that African faction. It'd have been the funniest thing ever. Based on the concept art it seemed like it would've been loved by nigger-hating racists and black ultranationalists alike, and then banned everywhere. I wouldn't trade the GLA for them but they seemed really fun.

I really wish some of the unique generals weren't so boring. Townes really could have used a spin on the microwave tank to round out his roster. And it's strange he doesn't get the Paladin, seems like he should automatically get it the same way Granger gets the F117 for free.
Anf in general, I feel like the basic factions got shafted too hard. Vanilla China in particular is utterly worthless.
