Is it the best strategy game that has ever been released? How is it so good, bros?
>your army can be rebuilt and resupplied between each battle
Is there another game that's like it? Made after 2020, because fuck older games.. It's too bad American Revolution sucked so much.

Too bad the game suffers from absolutely nonsensical enemy army scaling. I get it should be slightly unrealistic to real life for the purpose of game, but wiping out entire enemy armies does absolutely nothing since the enemy can replace all the men lost, plus adds additional several thousands for the next battle.

That being said, the game is still very fun, especially the Confederate campaign. Might replay it again soon.

That's pretty much what happened.
>troops go down to the docks
>oi where ye from?
>noice anyway you're conscripted don't run off now
That's why they don't let you buy your way out of getting drafted anymore, humorously enough.
>lincoln says alright lets start conscription
>richfags would just buy their way out because you could do that
>damn we still need bodies because apparently the confederates are terminators or someshit
>increase the payment required to get out of it
>richfags just pay it again
>ok now you gotta pay someone else to take your place AND now we're gonna pay people to enlist
>cleverfags start enlisting over and over and over because in those days there wasn't homeland security, some of them earning the equivalent of 100K today
>OK LISTEN NO MORE OF THAT
>draft riots suddenly break out after richfags can't get out of being drafted anymore
People don't really understand how closely fought the civil war actually was and the sheer amount of fresh meat the union just threw in the grinder. There were fresh armies appearing basically overnight and is why in ACW games the confederates tend to have higher quality troops.

Not in my experience. Union has more, but worse, troops. That tends to be the case no matter what game you play, from Sid Meier's Gettsyburg! to Grand Tactician: The Civil War.

I genuinely do not give a shit. This is an American board and we are talking about the American draft. Ukraine is a money laundering scam, piss off back to /pol/ with that shit. No one fucking cares about your slav slap fight anymore, just want you to know.

I find confederate troops much worse in that game because the union has better guns, meaning they always outrage and win every battle.

The AI has its core army that carries over from mission to mission just like the player's, and it also has a number of extra units that it gets each mission. If you really hammer them every mission they won't be able to keep up and you will start to notice their veteran units being undermanned at the start of new missions. The extra units they get are less experienced but fully reinforced, so the overall quality of their troops decreases as well. What I don't know is whether the number of extra units is set in stone or if it varies based on various factors.

I believe you right-click, but it's been a bit since I've played the game. I remember spending stupid amounts of money for other units' artillery and our own repeaters/bolt actions just so we wouldn't get bamboozled by union human wave tactics.
>steam running slow as shit despite 9950x3d and 64gb RAM
Weird. Guess it decided to update a bunch of mods or something. I recall officer mode having jank-as-shit weapon unlock protocol and if you got lucky at the start (and started as a cavalry officer) you could rack up a lot of prestige and influence tech progression.

If you ever feel like getting stomped in the balls, wh40k Final Liberation has two mandatory intro missions and the second is almost impossible to beat on hard without playing it perfectly.
