It's Starcraft but with actual strategy instead of reliance on APM and twitch muscle-memory movement.
Never seen an auto battler this deep, 1v1s are fun as hell.
>>2067524 (OP)Yeah it's good, everyone should buy it!
>>2067524 (OP)>It's Starcraft>an auto battlerhuh? am i missing something here? is this ACTUALLY an advertisement thread?
>>2067524 (OP)I like it, i wish there was more baseline customization that I didn't have to grind or get the drip feed credits for. An actual campaign would be cool too.
I really wish there was a gsg that uses the mechabellum mechanics for individual battles with maybe a total war-like overlap campaign
>>2067524 (OP)Don't sc2 already has autobattler in custom shit?
>>2067622Threads about this game pop up from time toi time but they're always extremely blatant shill threads. There's never any discussion between actual players, just extremely artificial posts telling people that it's an amazing game. In reality it's a shallow as fuck game that literally plays itself. No idea why anyone with an interest in actual strategy would bother with this garbage. You're better off just playing some custom maps in Starcraft.
>>2067524 (OP)If map was 1000x bigger, if there was base building and/or more units, then ok. But now it looks like some game for mobile phone or technological demo.
I think Mechabellum™ is very fun and a good strategy game for people to play!
>>2067524 (OP)Take this game and put a futuristic version of Conquest of Elysium over it and I'd play it.
>A game
>But you don't play it
>>2068442there's no co-op either dood! and no ukrainian language!!!
Played it and wasn't a fan. Unlike something like Legion TD2 players have access to every unit in each game, and since your units actually fight each other this means you're just going to find out the hard counter to each unit you've invested into the hard way in a situation where you're guaranteed to lose because there's no micro. The setup of the game is just awkward as well, on the flank you were victorious you blow up enemy tower to stun their units but if the enemy won the other side they blow up your tower to stun your units and either both debuffs wear off by the time the remaining units fight each other so that entire dynamic doesn't matter at all or even worse the player who won harder is punished by having their units closer to the enemy when they get stunned. It's hard to even call that a comeback mechanic because it's more of an accident of the map design, and it's hard to call that a problem with the map design because the map is just a flat open field.
I’ll bite. I love Mechabellum. Survival mode is an actual challenge vs the AI (I’m stuck at Insane #1… can make it to final round but get rekt). The 1v1 MP is a blast as well. I am an OG RTS player, going back to the first Warcraft game and playing friends via modem in middle school (Warlocks + Summon Demon - OP nerf plz). Played SC1 quite a bit, and some SC2, but fell off when I got sick of practicing build orders and shit like that (played others too - AoE, red alert etc).
Mechabellum is the most fun in MP I’ve had in a while.
I wouldn't say it's like Starcraft, but it's pretty fun
>>2069231Yeah, nothing like StarCraft other than the Terran aesthetic. Is a ton of fun.
Is it pvp or pve or both?
>>2068442>You don't play the game>And you don't watch the movie eitherwtf is wrong with this app
it's mainly 1v1 pvp, but there's also 2v2 and FFA and pve survival
>>206762290% of the internet is bots
I'm probably a bot
You're probably a bot too
I want more mecha discussion
>>2068189You know that strategy is about planning and not micromanaging your units right
>>2079934yes and that's what you usually do in Starcraft, even the top korean sc1 pros do strategy when fighting other pros. I know the gookclick meme exists but in reality it's overblown out of proportion.
>>2068452You don't have access to all units though, only to ones you pay to unlock or get as a round bonus. Sure, you can unlock more units, but using units you already have unlocked is cheaper. So it's up to you to figure out well-rounded setups that can't be easily countered by one unit, and that do well against what your opponent has and what you think they'll bring in. It's strategical.
>>2080639Then why did the top starcraft players complain about alphastar having too high of an apm?

>>2079934You know that this board is about strategy GAMES and there's no game if the app plays itself right
>>2089608You can spectate games and bet tokens on who you think will win each round. I think it's primarily streamer bait, though I suppose people might just watch higher level players for fun without them streaming.
the mountain is incredibly frustrating to play against when it goes super range
>>2068124yes, this goes back to starcraft 1 custom maps
>>2082462Sadly Mechabellum is a game, where the player choices decide the outcome. Too bad for you, nongame lover anon.
