I got hooked into 4x genre ever since i replayed my childhood game rebuild 2 and i was interested into civ series please tell anons game should i try

5. It's the most newcomer-friendly and is aesthetically appealing and if you loved rebuild 2, then you might prefer Civ 5's focus on 'tall' gameplay.

Speaking of Civ. Does anyone know if 2K's new shitty spyware EULA applies to the Civ games too?
I know that the GOG copies specifically probably don't, but for Civ V and for earlier Civ games on Steam, is there still a potential risk in 2K having pozzed the game files with Spyware?

Civ 4 is the newest one were you can actually wage war without wanting to throw your computer out the window. So I would say that one
