To be fair, except for the Prophet and his original followers. Arab rulers arent the best to rule around.
The Ayyubids, Seljuks, Ottomans, Zirids and the best sultans of the Umayyads were not Arabs.
I dont know which leader said something about them, but I think it was Kadaffi but he said "Arabs are the best to agree about disagreeing and starting pointless feuds"

Ummayad Caliphs were all Arabs, in fact the Abbasids manage to topple them because they basically were an Arab supremacist and hated by Persians as a result.

I mean 16th century Ottomans that have blobbed into the Balkans, Syria, Arabia and Egypt. Have quantity, quality and defensive as idea sets and the biggest fleet in the Med stopping you getting across the Bosporus are hard to to beat in the first war not what they are in your game

The best sultans of the Umayyads had Amazigh upbringing or Iberian ones.
They actually could comunicate with their vassals in a way that helped.
Like Abd al-Rahman the first who had Berber mother and Abd al-Rahman the third who had an Iberian mother. Both rulers are remembered to brought their own significant stone to the golden age of Al-Andalus.
While yeah they got kicked out of middleast, the great ones who consolidate power in Spain lasted longer than the Abassids.
The Abassids themselves were decadent and toppled by leaders and Seljuks house guards who were treated badly by their Abassid liege lords. Not saying they were all bad, iirc, one caliph destroyed any Chinese ambition in the middle east and the Abassid dictated the trade value in the silk road.
But generally speaking, Arabs arent great rulers a part from a few.
