Some games look visually very historically accurate. But this strife towarda historical accuracy ends here. KCD gets the looks mostly right, bht had a very unusual protagonist, who could beat up the local lord of the town with no consequences and also get filthy rich from selling broken, looted equipment. Manor Lords gets sold as the most historically accurate city builder ever, but it only gets praised for the visuals. The villagers are all equally good at everything, you assign their workplace and domicile like a Communist state planner. No one owns any property. The only population growth us through immigration, because of the limited timescale, but in games like Banished children can reproduce with their parents and close relatives, because they dont bother modelling courtship, genetics and reproduction properly.
When do developers start creating a proper medieveal town builder with inheritance of property, rights and privileges? I want immigrants to be discriminated against, when it comes to accessing "public" land, which turns out is only public for the founding stock and their direct descendents. They refuse to share that privilege.
>>2077753 (OP)>I want immigrants to be discriminated against, when it comes to accessing "public" landThen you don't want a historically accurate medieval game. The feudal lords were always encouraging migration from one lord to another to get them to work for them. The right to move away from the land if the lord was unjust was even codified as sa pecific right that the peasants had. Especially in the late middle ages when there was shortage of workhands after the wars and black plague.
>>2077757note how the communist here conflates mass immigration from other, vastly different nations with farmhands moving a county or two
when called out on it he will retreat from his motte (the implication that there's always been niggers in europe) to his bailey (why yes sometimes people moved a few miles)
>>2077753 (OP)Brother... that's some truly certifiable schizo post you have here.

>>2077753 (OP)Lords and Villeins I think is a good medieval city builder.

The only fags that cared about "founding stock" would be city councils and that's because they were dominated by guilds and burgers who despised new competition.
OP is gay but I want a knight simulator where you manage your fief through interacting with people

WHAT the plague has hit and now our blacksmith is dead--but I need someone to make nails. No one else can do it. It will take me year to get a new blacksmith, which allows the enemy manor lord to attack me during that period since due to the degradation of my 30 year old walls a storm has uprooted a tree which lead to the destruction of part of our wall. Without the blacksmith I won't be able to equip the villagers and without the blacksmith my trade doesn't allow me to pay for mercenaries. Since I have 13 militia and 5 men at arms they won't be able to defend that section of the wall now requiring instead the 18 troops 21!
DARN IT
at least my villagers were able to breed a milk cow which produces 7% more milk, which should allow me to build a new well in three years time through cheese trade.
>>2077753 (OP)I know this post is either bait or thirdie skitzobabble but Songs of Syx actually aligns with a lot of what you want.
>>2077757You just described what the lords were happy about, not the peasants that were already living on the land.
What the fuck is wrong with this board?
OPs expressed a reasonable desire for more detailed simulation mechanics, rather than simple graphical fidelity and multiple anons are having a tantrum as if this is a specific actionable threat to their estrogen supply.
>>2077753 (OP)You are asking deep and dangerous questions now. You know damn well why that is. The leftist mindset in western developers will NEVER allow for them to introduce such mechanics in modern games. Not to mention DEI breathing down their necks, plus the feminists and trannies.
>>2080358>what lords were happy aboutPlease, read a history book on the peasant wars of the late Middle Ages.
The right to migration is literally one of the rights that specifically the peasants were fighting for to preserve. Because it was a thing since the early Middle Ages, but as feudalism solidified during the High Middle Ages, the lords were looking for ways to while it down, and tie the peasants to the land. And the peasants had to fight for its preservation the entire time.
>>2077753 (OP)Have you heard of guild 2?
>>2077753 (OP)Have you tried looking for mods? Almost any strategy game I play usually has a shitton of mods that improve historical accuracy in all ways imaginable, and I'd imagine manor lords or whatever other game would have those too. /his/chads have always made up a large part of the bedrock of strategy games enthusiasts, so there should be plenty of content for us, as long as you play on PC.
