The patreon backers successfully sued the developers for the rights to the game and set up their own LLC to continue development, which is why the game has gotten honestly really good support this late in its life. The devs trying to kickstart the new game are doing so partly because the residuals have dried up and they need a new grift to fund their retirement.

Someone is working on a 3rd faction of insectoid machines,we already have the Legion faction which is balanced constantly by the community to go with the Default faction for atleast some resemblance of the CORE and the ARM from Total annihilation.

If you want to blow up planets its a decent time alright and if you want to kill a fuck ton of time theres the galactic war mode where you can make so really absurb combinations with technology you can find in the systems
There is this tech where you can give 100% bonus to your commander's movement speed and health and that thing can accumulate so if you have 4 of thoses your commander can run around the planet like sonic

idk better is the right word, but it does do things differently, the game turn either to quick commander snipes or long slugfests with commanders building strongholds on planets and players just throwing nukes or armies at each other for hours not giving way until some layer of defense fucks up, with this game you have to think in layers and how they each interact with the others to win.

A scummy way of wiping negative reviews on a game they released unfinished without promised features from the kickstarter. There is no good reason why titans is a standalone.
Game itself is not that bad, though out of nitpicks units feel really short ranged compared to other games of the genre and I'm a bit too much of a brainlet for the planet gimmick, I get confused which way is north or circumnavigate the globe going east when it would have been shorter to just go west.
