I haven't played every faction yet but I liked playing as a savage tribal society. The only faction without banner instead they use impaled skulls to mark their provinces, getting conquered by them results in the defeated faction leader being executed or eaten alive, barring snow and desert they get either normal or bonus terrain movement, can't hire 90% of heroes because no one wants to work with people who would eat them. I would say they would be the most poetic faction to defeat the demons with.

I got around that by making an 1920 1000 exe and launching the game from there each time. The window fits neatly so that none of the UI is cut off.
