Just picked this game up recently, don't see a thread for it. I played a little bit and had a lot of fun but had some questions.
>Why are the graphics so blurry sometimes? Are there optimal settings? Sometimes game looks great, other times it looks like its smeared in vaseline or I need glasses or something.
>What are some fun campaigns for newer players? I have Immortal Empires map so pretty much anything that's not
>I do pretty good in the initial fight against the closest enemy at the beginning of the campaign, but often struggle to figure out what to do next. Any advice on how to play the 'bigger picture' of the campaigns?
>I really don't know how to fight the big city siege battles well, especially early on when you have no artillery units. Any tips or tricks?

The thread for it is on /vg/ for some reasons, itโ€™s called /twg/
Sieges are shit, unfunny and extremely repetitive, itโ€™s not a you problem.
Fun beginner campaigns would be Tyrion, Archaon or that Chinese dude depending on what you prefer
Karl Franz isnโ€™t really noob friendly desu

A baby game for babies with baby difficulty where the AI instantly falls over dead for you if you look at its general direction.

I haven't tried 3 but I tried 1 and 2. The battles are generally quite easy but sieges without any siege weapons might be a problem. You can starve them out or try to auto resolve them for better results and see if it works.
>Any advice on how to play the 'bigger picture' of the campaigns?
The campaign will have some win condition so you simply play towards that. Maybe the question makes more sense to someone who played 3 but in the campaigns in the previous titles it was quite obvious what you were supposed to do.

Because all the historical fans are assblasted that itโ€™s actually the most fun game in the series from ever possible standpoint.

They changed the asthetics from warhammer 1 and warhammer 2, it became blocky and kinda cartoony. The campaing map looks horrible made worse by how they made corruption graphics.

Warhammer is shit I don't understand why people gobble up fantasy instead of history. Why did they turn a historical strategy franchise into blizzard tier slop?

This is bullshit. Tons of different kingdoms/empires played different in their games. You just expect this starcraft type asymmetry.

Warhammer as a series does have formations, terrains, common tactics and lords that aren't superheroes, and this one of the reasons the empire is supposed to be good in lore. The thing is CA chose the easy way out by removing most of the strategic depth (taxation, building choices, lords leading armies and agent spam) and tactical depth (stacking bonuses, elite units sucking, cavalry sucking, no terrain or formations).

Nothing encapsultates the dumbing down than the power creep and change from attila's corruption pressure system to the current number system (much easier and forgettable)

See the last total war I bought was Rome 2 and I like Rome 2 overall. I never bought Atilla and onward. That's why I fucking hate Total war now. There's nothing good. I thought bronze age game might be interesting or maybe the Pharoah game but I heard the reviews were shit.

try to make an ally in the diplomacy menu, don't make war on more than 2 nearby factions because it can fuck you up hard, learn the strengths and weaknesses of the faction you are playing.
As a newbie things can get pretty complicated but after your first campaign you should have a much easier time and start

if you are playing as a faction included in these videos

Zhao Ming is overall the easiest LL for beginner, while also have a good starting point, compared to the utter boredom of Ulthuan where the other LL candidate Is (Turion)

Skaven are always fun to play. If you mean scenarios there are none. No one plays this for the scenarios, only Immortal Empires.
Raise growth and money. Growth makes you settlements bigger which unlocks better units amd money lets you fund those units.
You should be looking to capture settlements frequently and expand. Unless there's a reason such as waiting on units to heal or recruit you should either be capturing settlements, moving towards settlements to capture or killing enemy armies. The game is called Total War, not Total Sit About And Wait.
