Does anyone here play/enjoy any of the Eugen games (WARNO, Steel Division, Wargame, RUSE)? I've played the Steel Division games and WARNO and enjoyed them, but I wish there were more maps to play. They've started allowing users to make dedicated servers with custom maps in WARNO, but you have to download the maps before hand to even see the lobby. Maybe some day the French might make it easier.

Retards are running the world into the ground with greed. We'll get a commie revolution within 20 years somewhere in the world over this shit and then they'll proceed to all starve to death once they run out of managers to eat.

I love Warno but I need the multiplayer servers to stop de-syncing and crashing the game to a black screen where I have to hard restart my computer.

I'm on a WARNO bend rn, though I mostly play Ranked 1v1's, which was my breat and butter also in WG:RD when I was playing that. Though the game is exhausting enough I usually just get 1 or 2 Ranked games in a day.
I am deservedly in pisslow though. My main div right now is 27ya, but I am also trying out 8th infantry.

From the SP part I did like the operations, but AG is very exhausting (though I may just have been tired at the time generally) and I don't really like fighting the AI very much, so I would kinda prefer to pvp that, but that also takes a looong time.

Also I actually really like the Division system that people complain about. It allows interesting decks (like DivMob) to be meta without breaking the coalition/unspec deck which would have happened in Wargame if you gave a small nation units like that.

As for SD2 I tried that, but it just didn't click for me.

A TFR 2ACW mod for WARNO would be cool I think, and prob not even hard since there are several modern day mods.

i liked steel division normandy 44 the best for a lot of reasons. the divisions were nice and varied, the graphics were pretty, great voicelines, and i enjoyed the front-line mechanic.
sd2/warno are fine in their own regard, but i still prefer sdn44 over both.

I mean I’ve invested enough time in Warno that I’m not really interested in the competitors. And I appreciate that Warno does have single player options.

For anyone else having the issue - I think I found a fix for the desync crashing. After trying literally everything else, disabling full screen optimization and running in Windows 8 compatibility mode seems to let the FPS drop to the high 20s occasionally instead of forcing a crash. FWIW my hardware is like 3x more powerful than what this game really needs to run well, so that shouldn’t be happening anyway. Some people speculated it was an OS issue and Eugene had publically announced that it was an Nvidia issue and that they were working on it but that was months ago and it seems like just as many AMD peeps are having the same issue.

It’s a fantastic game, one of my favorites at this point really, but I had briefly posted a negative Steam review because I was just so frustrated that I couldn’t complete a single game.

Warno had made me curious about Wargame so I picked it up on sale but it seems a bit more overwhelming on the deck building side and clunkier in general. Any advice?

a man of true culture. Eugene's best game, yes including R.U.S.E.
the 1st LOS tool; the commander/ morale/ capture mechanic.
frontline instead of stupid "command" quadrilaterals.
phase mechanic allowed different play styles.
even the no infantry resupply worked, i thought

Fuck, those are the only good improvements I liked going from RD to SD2. Are you telling me there is literally no redeeming or new quality to that meta-balanced p2w piece of shit?
