What does /vst/ think of Aurora 4x? Out of all the "autistic" strategy games it is hardly ever mentioned here. From what I have played it seems to relay HEAVILY on roleplaying

I always get filtered when you have to actually start building ships/fleets and dealing with that bullshit

and finding a planet worth mining is total RNG

Why would you intercept anti missile missiles when you could use that missile size on decoys?

I'm of two minds, on the one hand having high accessibility corrundium on Venus makes scaling a breeze, on the other having a jugular that is shipping neutronium and corrundium to sol from three systems away leads to interesting challenges.
What isn't fun is searching 20 systems and not finding anything with a significant amount of vital minerals.

>FPS death
After C#? I've never experienced that but I tend to restart a lot to be fair.

I'm currently undergoing bit of a resource crunch as I scale up extrasolar mining. Mercassium/Neutronium/Corrundium keep switching between being the limiting factor. I've had to pause my terraforming station buildup for a while because of this. I'm terraforming venus and I have two venusian planets I want to do after that.

If the head retard in charge could swallow his 'look how esoteric it is because of the UI!' pride and work on making it even remotely more approachable or even just letting someone else do it for him and charging like 5 bucks for it on steam, he could make a bit of decent cash and keep working on his autism project at the same time.

I would pay $10 if I could see the entirety of the events and economics tabs at the same time on a 1920x1080 monitor
What the fuck did he design it around, doing a 30 day turn and then thoughtfully reviewing every single window? 4k monitors?

C# fps "death" is literally vb6 natural optimal start.
If you handled vb6 at its worst you will never be bothered by c# performance

Yes. He's an autistic boomer who originally made this to help him with his tabletop shit. These people don't think like us at all.

Have you stabilized jump points? Civilian ships don't use Jump Drives, so if you can keep them all imprisoned in Sol their pathfinding won't be as demanding

DF's problem is toady already was slogging it through the updates, even before they did the steam release. I would bet 100 bucks easily that he still wouldn't be close to releasing the magic update even if he didn't do the steam release at all.

at that point you'd think a meta solution would be developed ingame and to avoid that external computational "heat death"; a late tech that makes missiles obsolete right before the memory fills up with missile addresses.

just looked up DF yesterday to check up on the magic update.
was thinking how much I'd enjoy using DFhack to mess around and give my dwarves all sorts of magical effects/abilities.
I like using Fastdwarves to have them teleport around.
